OK boys and girls...We have all discovered things we have long past forgotten how to do, mostly because our fat was in the way and we couldn't do it, but...drum roll please.... I crossed my legs at the knee and my top leg actually went over my knee insteead of stopping at my ankle and making me sit like a man!! I was so excited I had to go 'show and tell' it to all my co-workers!! Of course they all laughed at me. Next victory......High heeled shoes!! ( maybe after another 30 pounds)
-
I personally like the idea of telling him his clothes and shoes are from last season. I agree that that could absoultly do him in!! lol

Hi to all my fellow May band buddies!!! I was banded 05-05-05 and am doing GREAT!!! I have had 2 fills so far, currently at 3.1cc in 4 cc band. Does that mean I cannot get very much more restriction????any way, I have lost 33 pounds so far and down to smaller clothes too. Why is it that my breasts have gotten so much smaller first??haha For the first time in years my stomach is smaller tahan my breast though and I'm kinda likin that. My divorce will be final in a couple of weeks and he said he cannot tell that I have lost weight. everyone else has noticed, even people who I only casually know have noticed!! I hope every one is doing good and feeling better about themselves. Has anyone else noticed how much more energy you have?

I once worked with a woman who's last name is Dick, that alone is pretty bad but her name is Benita and then they named their daughter Anita. Those are parents who are mean!! Hey Queenie,Isn't Dick Trickle a pro golfer?

hopefully you have out of network benefits. I also have UHC but have o out of network coverage. I am having a problem with the radiolgy department being out of network when I made sure I went to an in network facility!! Now they want me to pay 3000.00 for their services on my surg and my sons appendectomy 2 weeks prior to my banding!!
-
You absoultly must tell your doctor!! If no one ever tells you something was not the way it was supposed to be you can never correct the problem. I also agree with Dr.Pleatman, the in appropriate comment by the resident must be stopped before he slips and says something that will get the patient and himself in deep trouble!!

I had my 2nd fill Friday, I am now at 3.1cc in a 4cc band. That kinda concerns me that my band is almost full with only 2 fills.....I am feeling restriction now but as much as I thought I would. I guess I am just to impatient!! Heck, it took me YEARS to gain all this weight and I expect it just fall of after the surg..haha

I WAS!! Dr Cribbons is my Dr. He is GREAT!!! He is kinda shy so you need to start the talking with him. He is so sweet and very gentle!! In fact I liked him so much that when my son had to have and emergency apendectomy I took him to the hospital where I knew Dr. Cribbons would be so he could do the surg. Good luck today, let us know how it goes.... -

is anyone familiar with Dr. Maese (waiting on ins) and hoping to join the club!!!
bubblesstina replied to doublestarrgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I started with Dr. Maese and he refered me to Dr. Cribbons, I already knew dr Cribbons because my almost x-husband had surg done by him years age...any way, Dr. Maese's office was a huge help for me but I had dr Cribbons do my fill also, I've only had one though, I decided to have Cribbons do it because I never got a call back from MAese's office after my surg when I called to ask when he wanted to see me post-op. I realy like Mases but that really bothered me since I left 3 messages and still have ot heard from them. Give dr Cribbons office a call, he is very nice and Gentle!!! Good luck and keep us posted!!! -
Do You Ever Feel Like Ripping Someone's Head Off and Throwing at Them

I know exactly how you girls feel!!! I am going through a divorce right now. After 18 years of marriage my husband decided he did not love me and wanted out. I too feel like I don't know who I am anymore because I basically gave up my identity to beciome his wife and the mother of our children. One day at a time is all I can do also. It is VERY scary to be alone after all these years. And Jodi, Teen age love is just as important as senior citizen love. It is giving of yourself, emotionally, to someone else who you expect to give as much back and when they don't it is devistating!! All I can hope for is that one day I will meet a man who really appreciates me and loves me just because I am me. And that may take a month or it may take 10 years. I do not know how long it will take, but in the mean time I am focusing on me and my children and making sure they know that I love them. By the way Jodi, My son is also the same age as you. Keep your chin up and host the party yourself next time instead of waiting for some snob to invite you to one. Have your real friends there and make your own kind of fun and have your own "in" crowd. 20 years form now all those mean chicks , you know who they are, the skinny pretty girls, will come to your high schol reunion and will be fat and not so attractive and will have bald husbands with pop bellies who only wanted them because they were the "pretty" girl and you will have a man who loves you because you are you! It is really fun then -
none since December........ I may shrivle up and die before it ever happens again!!! At lease when/if I ever get remarried my honeymoon will be sex with a skinny chick!!! lol
-
Yea Kim!!! hope you are feeling good Welcome to the "OTHER SIDE"

UHC covered mine 100% but every insurance company has to go by the guidelines the EMPLOYER sets up for their individual coverage. Every Employer chooses what they want to havecovered and the insurance company administers the policy according to those guidelines. good luck, I hope they cover it for you, This has been the best thing I ever did for myself!!!

Vera, I had a hyst. 2.5 years ago my uterus was literally falling apart. My dr left my ovaries because I feel the same way you do, if they ain't broke leave them alone!!! Life after surg is GREAT!!!! Sex was better, I felt better, I looked beter ( i had not realized how bad I did look) I was a much happier person all around. If you had c-sections you already know about the recovery. I had a hard time because they also did the bladder surg at the same time. 3 vaginal births kinda make you need that one..... any way, I'll be thinking about you Wednesday. I hope you got to go sking!!!

My maiden name is Rust you would think a simple name like that would not cause problems.....People were always trying to make it fancy by putting accents on it and spelling it differeltly. I always said :it's just good ole Iron oxied, corrosion, the brow/reddish junk on a piece of metal that is left out in the rain. The probles was my brothers, he has strawberry colored hair and was teased that his name bled through to his hair... Now my name is Mierow (pronounced like zero with a M insted of a Z) Not much to go no with that one...

I have my first fill in about 2 hours and am really unnerved about it!! I do not remember being this nervous about the surg.... Am I going to hurt after they are done?? Man I'm a whimp...

bubblesstina replied to bubblesstina's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
OK so heres the weird thing...I was given this card to carry to show that I have the band and to keep track of my fills, It says I have a 4 cc band, I asked the Dr. today what size my band was ans he told me it was a 10cc.... He put in 2 cc's and said everything looked great..... so far I do not feel ay different, how long does it take before you can tell something was done??? Oh, by the way, I HATE that barrium stuff!! if that was all I was ever allowed to have I would be skinner than any movie star has ever been...haha -

Anyone use a dlp projector for home theater system?
bubblesstina replied to BigT's topic in The Lounge
We use an infocus system but we use it to show movies outside....I did set it up in the family room and watched a couple of movies and tv for a few days in there. My boys LOVED it!!! a HUGE tv screen, we could NEVER afford a real tv that large!!! the only thing bad was a place to put the prjector that was not in the way while watching... Good luck, We love ours for outdoors...but fun for a few days inside also -
OH MY!!!! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time!!! Sex...haven't had any for 7 months now ( no that is not by Dr.s orders..lol) but this thread is GREAT!!! Maybe I need to meet a bandman too.... Let us know what instrument you play
