Well I to am going through a painful divorce. Mine actually started before I had my surg. I did not even tell him I was having this done and was not going to but the anes. called the house when he was here and that is how he found out. I was not happy about that!! I found out a couple of years ago that he had been cheating on me for almost our entire marriage. We were working things out, (or at least that was what I thought we were doing) I was working on it he was working on a new girlfriend.... My december of last year: Dec 4th- turned 40 Dec 9th he told me he was leaving Dec 12 told kids Dec 18 rented an aparment taht we shared- 1 week there, one at the house so the kids never had to leave home Dec 24- our 18th anniversary Dec25-Christmas Dec 31 got fired from my job Jan 1 he moved out And Look!!! I'm alive and kickin 1 year later!! And 53 pounds lighter!! Porc my band sister, it is hard, I wont lie but it will eventually get better, that is what everyone keeps telling me. Some days I still cry, I can't sleep in our bed so I have been sleeping on the floor of the play room for the past 3 months. We shared an apartment for 6 months where we would stay 1 week with the kids and then switch, but we no longer do that. and I am glad that is over!! I will keep you in my prayers and I hope all goes well for you guys, I know this time of year will be difficult also. Just keep hugging your little man and him haow much you love him. I have also found out that the days that I pray for my husband are easier days for me. Keep smiling!! Someone is bound to smile back

and mine will hold 8!!! I get Paul with all his money though, maybe we can do a little preview so he can practice how to give away all that $$ to all the other women on my van. haha

So here's the question of the day.... Who has tried to carry around the amount of weight you lost for a couple of hours? I have now lost 50 pounds and I got out the weight set the other day and tried to carry around 50 pounds for as long as I could.... That was not easy. I am going to try to do that with every 10 that i loose...Just to give me a little reality check....My body is going to be sooo happy to not be carring around all that extra. Just wondering who else on here is as weird as me?? haha

Thanksgiving dinner, on Sunday when my kids got home, was fun. I was only able to eat about 2 spoons of potatoes, 1 bite of turkey and one bite of stuffing. The turkey got stuck and I ended up in the bathroom for about 30 min.... The kids were laughing at me and teasing me saying I should have gotten out the play dishes from the Barbie stuff to use instead of the big china plate...everyone was laughing so much that my 10 year old even literrally fell out of his chair. Even though no food to speak of for me, overall it turned out GREAT!! My daughter even told me it was the best Thanksgiving we have ever had. that made me feel good, a nice thing to say at the end of a rotten year for all of us.

Tammy, I'm sorry you are having such a hard time since this last fill...I was having a hard time since my last fill also...My Dr. recommends post op diet for a couple of days after the fill, i did that but after 3 days I was still having trouble....of course I began to think the worst.... Any way I went to liquids for 10 days, then to mushies, you know the drill....now i am back to solids, just very small portions and VERY SMALL bites!! As far as Thanksgiving...I was alone since the kids were at dad's house and I was sick and backed out of goig to a friends house, so I actually had a bowl of chili. Was yummy..I am making Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday when the kids get home because their dad did not and my little one (he is 10) cried when he heard that they were having Tamaleess for thanksgiving...So I'll be able to tell you all how it went Sunday Night.... I hope everyone got to get your Christmas shopping started Friday.....yeah for credit cards right???lol

well I'm glad I'm not the only one who compares their weight to sticks of butter!!! Do you guys remember when Oprah lost all that weight doing the liquid dite and then came out on stage with a huge wheelbarrow full of fat equal to her weight loss??? That was GROSE!!! I am going to the grocery store today so I will check out how many sticks of butter 51 pounds looks like!! lol

ok guys, I have the prettiest dog in the entire house!!lol I have a black and white cocker Spaniel her color is called 'party mix' named Mia. She is a SPOILED dog!! but she does go to time out when she get's in trouble, just like my human kids do!! haha how did you guys attach a picture?? Hi Jay!! Dr. Cribbins is my surg and I have had 3 fills, as of today. My last fill was Aug 19th and then today. If at all possible have Dr. C do your fill. Dr. Nguyen did my 2nd fill and to be honest with you, it hurt!! I was nervous about going today since the last one hurt so bad. But Dr. Cribbins was Wonderful!! He did my 1st fill also. I never even felt anything he did. Plus he jokes around with me which makes me feel more at ease... As far as how often, They told me that when I plateau for more thn 2 weeks it is a god sign that it time for a fill. How much? Every patient is different, as of today I amat 3.25ccs Good luck!!

OK, for the first time in 22 years I did not go to the State Fair!!! Snd not just because I would not be able to eat a corny dog, the only food Iever eat there. But mostly because I could not afford ittheis year. Next year I will repent and go twice to make up for this year!! haha But oh how I missed myfoot long Fletchers Corny dog!!!

anytime you are given a med, ask for it in liquid form, also your pharmicist can usually crush and mix your pills into a flavored liquid for you. Granted, none of the liquids are very tasty but usually not bitter. You would be amazed how many adults cannot take pills and require this service...

Jay, it is not unusual for your port area to be sore. That is the largest incision and will take the longest to heal. Did you have your surg at Frisco Med center? Is tht place amazing or what???!! Just take it easy on getting your 2 ounces at one sitting. It took me about 45 min to an hour to get my 2 ounces doen the first 4 or 5 days. the worst part was when the broth cooled off...yuck!! lol Let us know how you are doing.. PS have you met Dr. Cribbons yet? If you can get one of your fills with him it will be worth it just to get to meet him. He is SOO nice and pretty easy on the eyes also... haha

Have you called the medicare office to ask them to help you find a surgeon?? They should have a list of current surgeons for you to choose from
