My doctor submitted to bc/bs Mass. and it took two weeks to get approval.....for the wrong surgery (they approved for RNY not VSG). The surgeon then appealed to bc/bs again and the approved the vsg in about 3 weeks....which was good because they usually view vsg as an investigational surgery and do not cover it. -
