    The Whole Meatball

cute post. :-) you will know! its hard to tell really tell until you are all healed up, so just take it easy until then. 6 weeks was the turning point for me.
  3. I can see that your BMI is lower, (32 now?) So you will definately lose more slowly. Keep doing what you are doing and it will come off! It seems horrible and heartbreaking at the time but the scale WILL move again! I had 3 weeks with zero loss and I thought I chopped my stomach out for no reason-- but then the scale moved again! You will lose the weight. Hang in there!

    Will I Lose My Hair?

I thought I could avoid the hair loss, I did EVERYTHING I could-- (NIoxin, Biotin, 80 grams of protien, and all sorts of hair vitmains and regular, not chemically treating my hair.) I thought I was out of the woods then BAM at 3.5 months until now it has been falling out like crazy. I have cried at few times. It still looks good, but has half the volume. Luckily I had more hair than a wooly mammoth to begin with. But My primary doctor says its from the trauma of the surgery, the anesthesia, and the rapid weight loss. Its hard to avoid. I hope you can avoid it-- its slightly traumatizing-- esp. if your hair has been your security blanket like mine over the years. Do what ever you can, but be prepared for the worst.... good luck!

Going On A Date..what To Eat?

This is so funny because I just ha my 3rd date with my dream man-- he knows I has surgery even. When I'm nervous my sleeve doesnt hold much- I could only eat 3 bites of my burger Friday. And I felt embarrassed and said something like I wish I could eat more it's so good! But he just said who cares! We have a fourth date next Friday! This sleeve has given me so much confidence dating. It will be fine!
  11. I have been eating bread since 2 months. Maybe 2 or 3 slices total per week with eggs

    Hair

I am at 4 months. I thought I was out of the woods. It just started falling out like mad 3 weeks ago. I am finding hair everywhere. My hair is/was my security blanket too. It is long and naturally blonde. But the good news is IT GROWS BACK. If getting thin and healthy means I lose half my hair for a few months-- it will be worth it! Do what you can to prevent this-- take your vitamins, biotin, use nioxin etc. Prepare for the worst. We will be ok!!!!!
  13. You will change your mind when you can eat anything in moderation and you feel and look amazing. And trust me, you will!
  14. just bought some 15's from the juniors department and they were 21 dollars :-)

  15. The best time to take a PPI is first thing in the a.m. On an empty stomach about 30 mins before breakfast. What kind of tummy issues are you talking about?
  16. I did verything in power to avoid hair loss (taking Biotin everyday since 2 weeks post-op, using Nioxin, eating right.) But I am at four months post op and the hair loss has really began. :-( My weight loss had been great, and I eat at least 80 grams plus daily of protien and currently 1200-1600 cals a day. I think the hair loss now is correlated to the first few months of rapid weight loss and really low calorie intake. I am trying not to panic but my long blonde mane has been the one great thing I love about how I look (I have been chubby since birth) Wondering if anyone else has cut their hair when it was falling out and does that help it but not weighing so much??? Any insight for this anxiety I am having would be great!!!

I Thought I Was Out Of The Woods....

Thanks all I'm trying to stay positive.
  18. At that stage I was very swollen still and I was eating 2 tablespoons at a time for something like refried beans. I could do a little more of a thinner yogurt.

    How Many Calories/carbs/ Day?

girl you are doing awesome. I wish I could have been at that calorie count early too. I am a big fan of slower weight loss and trying to feed your body I think you will lose less hair, maintain your muscle mass and overall will be feeling better. Keep up the good work!

    How Many Calories/carbs/ Day?

Sounds fantastic to me! I eat 1200-1600 a day but I'm at 4 months out. At 2 weeks out I could barely get 300 cals in! How do you do it?!

So I Went To Church On Sunday And

love it! thanks for the giggle, needed that today
  22. I am not worried I will lose too much weight, but personally I don't want to be very thin- it would be completely odd for me. I would like to level out at thick and healthy of course! a size 10 or so. My doc wants me at 160 and I think that is perfect! I want to keep my booty and my thicker thighs and whats left of my breasts.. (So I don't look like a deflated balloon) So far so good. If I knew I could be thinner and not look deflated I would possibly like the idea more but that is not reality for me.
  23. This feeling stayed about 10 days for me, 2 weeks max.
  24. This is me to a "T" on every diet in the past. Everytime the scale stopped moving I gave up and quit. I would TRY to resist temptation but I couldn't. I am pretty lucky post op and with the lack of the hunger I feel like my cravings are more easily curbed. I am sorry you are struggling. It sounds like you might need to work with a psychologist. (I am seeing one!!, my spending on clothes, purses, and make up has been reckless post op, and I know its related to a cross over type thing) I know that sounds harsh but make an appointment and take care of yourself!!!
