I eat slowly and I have a few sips of my Water with meals. -

Am I Being Hypochondriac?
FishingNurse replied to longer-life's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Better to be safe than sorry!!!!! You are not being a hypochondriac at all girl -
I am in the same boat. :boxing_smiley: It makes me so sad too cause my hair has always been my security blanket!! You can try Biotin- it a B Vitamin, I also use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. My doc says that the hair loss is from the shock of the surgery and the 1st month of starvation after surgery and theres not a lot you can do to prevent it. You can keep up on your protien and Multivitamins too. Good luck and I hope our hair loss slows down soon!!!

Feeling Sleevetastic- You Will Too!
FishingNurse posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I made to the 170s! Life is great! This post is to help people stuck on stalls. I stalled for 3 weeks at a time at least 3 times. I actutally thought when I was at 220lbs I wasn't going to lose another pound. And again at 201 and again at 189!! and here I am at 179 in a size 12. Getting compliments everyday. Feeling great about myself. We just have to be patient!!!! -

It's Girl Scout Cookie Season....aaarrrrgggghhh!
FishingNurse replied to apw0's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ahhh, luckily I am not a cookie girl :-) If people came to my door selling chips and dip I would be in trouble! -
I have my 6 month on Feb 9th. I can eat a little more than 2 months. Not much though-- I could eat more at 2 months than most. As for the fast food-- I go Culvers once every other week or so. I go for a treat-- its my best friends and I favorite. We share a butter burger with cheese-- so I eat half without the top bun. and I have about 4-6 fries and a few pickles :-) I will not say no to fast food forever- I just go a few times a month and I think thats reasonable.

I Want Your Thoughts On A Very Modest Goal Weight.....
FishingNurse posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want to hear what other people think about goals regarding whether or not to set a goal of say, 135lbs for a girl of 5’4’’ or would I be better suited sticking with my modest goal of 165ish. Here are my thoughts: 165 will be much easier to maintain and I will have less risk of regain 165 will help the skin look less saggy. 165 is still slightly chubby- but I would still feel great about myself physically. Heck, I feel great at 183! If I am perfectly healthy—no high blood pressure, diabetes, etc at 165 is there any reason to not stop there besides the BMI scale saying I am still “overweight” I would rather be a bit thicker and have no saggy skin then be tiny and have saggy skin….. Thoughts please!!!!! Thanks!!!
