Honesty Vs. Lying About The Surgery
FishingNurse replied to Lovely's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tell anyone and everyone-- I am a talker for sure.... BUT I do respect that people don't want everyone knowing all their business. You can make it work whatever way you chose. -

soooo common and normal. I usually satisfy my craving with small portions of the thing I am craving, as long as your sleeve is healed its ok! I made my way to goal doing that at 8.5 months out. In Maintenance ever since doing the same thing :-!

it depends on your age and your starting stats. I have no loose skin, and I have dropped 95lbs. I have a few wrinkles on my abdomen-- not bad at all!!!

After Wls No Sagging Skin
FishingNurse replied to ProudGrammy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have lost 95 lbs as well, and I have not loose skin, although a few wrinkles on my abdomen. I could care less, its not like I will show my abdomen to anyone besides my boyfriend-- and he thinks I am beautiful no matter what. Luckily my butt, thighs and arms look pretty damn good! -
yes I drink a diet coke daily. no problems here!
-
It happened to me less than 5 times. And it hasn't happened since 3 months out.
-
I have been eating raw veggies every day since about 4 months, and dairy since 2 weeks out with zero problems :-)

How To Have A "good" Food Funeral - Guilt-Free!
FishingNurse replied to Patrick Curl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I definitely had a few food funerals. I probably gained about 6-7 pounds in 2.5 months before surgery. Oh well, it is what it is! But all I can say to a pre-oper about this is that you will more than likely be able to have anything you want post op in small quantities. I do completely..... including soda. So don't look at it as you will never eat your favorite foods again-- you will just eat 1/6 of the quantity you used to eat and feel satisfied. The sleeve is the best gift ever! -
I Am Terrified Of Losing My Hair!
FishingNurse replied to TiredOfChubRub's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This was my biggest fear as well. I did lose quite a bit from month 3-7. I was nervous about it. I felt like it was a ton but It stopped and I look completely normal. Don't worry, I have had so much regrowth as well. Nobody noticed the hair loss except me.....it will be so worth it!!! TRUST ME -
How Long Does It Last?
FishingNurse replied to Back~To~Amy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

This Is Why I Trust The Sleeve (Long Story)
FishingNurse replied to NisaletOAM's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My mom had a similar experience! She had stomach cancer and she had more than half her stomach removed 15 years ago. She was about 190 pounds when she was diagnosed and since then she has been cancer free, with a similar "sleeve" type stomach and has never tipped the scales over 115 since at 5'4''. No long term problems! It is promising! -
