I met the love of my life 2 months post op! He met me at 200 pounds plus, and has supported me through it all. It's definately possible to find a man (or woman) that is supportive and nonjudgementaI. I think you do not have to disclose that you are sleeved until the right time. Don't let it deter you from looking for someone!

Loosing Too Much Weight?
FishingNurse replied to ab76307's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel like this a little, I'm suprised I keep losing a little bit, and I'm like you eating 5-6 small meals a day. I am not too thin yet so I don't mind. :-) -
oh my lanta, yes- those are definitely PG-13

I am jumping on your bandwagon! I haven't worked out in about 4 months and I wanna lose 5-10 more pounds. We can do this!

Egg Salad And Tuna
FishingNurse replied to GiiNaGiiNa408's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You eat so little of anything early out! I say use the regular stuff that doesn't have toxic fat free junk in it. That's been my secret-- enjoy the small portions, make it taste great and satisfying. I made goal at 8.5 months that way. I still use regular everything and skip the fat- removed sugar added crap. -
Obese After Sleeve?
FishingNurse replied to Sannah's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5'4'' and hover around 170 so its right on the border of obese, and frankly I don't care! I look and feel great. I can maintain, I am happy and healthy. Thats all that matters I dont care what my BMI is personally. Its nice that your surgeon is honest with you. The weight loss is not as drastic as I thought. and on these boards I have found its much more moderate that a RNY which is totally ok with me. -
Smetimes I Just Want To Have Dinner!
FishingNurse replied to suzjag's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This gets better with time. I used to feel exactly the same way. 13 months out and I feel completely satisfied. I can eat just enough-- where I dont feel deprived but I can easily maintain my weight loss still. -
Same. I use the weight from when I decided to get the sleeve.

FishingNurse replied to Queen of Crop's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can tolerate noodles very well and I have had no problem since 3 months out. I have noodles 2-3x per week. They are my fave! -
It could be either..... I got the slimes about 6 times total post op. last time was 5 months out. I think it goes away for the most part for most people.

Weight Watchers Meals
FishingNurse replied to belaire30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't/ don't count carbs... I just tried to get my protein in. I wasn't able to eat may carbs in the early stages. There is only room for protein rich foods! You will find a good balance a few months in for you. -
I have drank a least one latte everyday for the past 11 months. sleeved 8/9/2011!!

A Small Cheat - Is It Very Bad?
FishingNurse replied to Randgalt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chicken is great but your fresh staple line can't handle it yet. You're putting yourself at risk for a leak. Just wait until you're doc says its time for safety reasons! -
Anyone Eat Anything
FishingNurse replied to victoriatxgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
"anything" I want is different than it used to be. I truly do. I have changed very much. I do not eat junk food all day. But if I want ice cream on a Friday night with my boyfriend, I have a half a cup. Or if I want popcorn at the movies with a friend I have some. I eat like a normal healthy person, not like the obese girl before that at 3000-5000 calories a day. -

Is Anyone Doing Clean Eating Post-Op?
FishingNurse replied to BKMama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't agree with my program that encourages everything fat free and sugar free. It's just garbage! I didn't do any low fat or fat free anything and made goal. :-) -

Don't get down on yourself-- YOU ARE 100 POUNDS LIGHTER! that to me is amazing. Just keep trying. Most importantly do what makes you happy. Good luck and keep us posted.
