I drink the 8 oz sugar free red bulls. They are only lightly carbonated. I love them. -
No C-PAP Machine Following Surgry
lovePINK replied to kristikay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't have sleep apnea & I don't use a CPAP but I remember when I got sleeved a year ago there was a woman who posted on here that she ruptured her sleeve by using her CPAP right after surgery. The air pressure caused the leak / rupture. -
Has anyone NOT experenced hair loss that is 6+ months out?
lovePINK replied to fgotr121's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm almost a year out and my hair never fell out. It actually grew like crazy.. I was a slow loser though, and ended up getting pregnant so maybe that's why. -

Is This Calculator Right?
lovePINK replied to hm734's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told between 40 and 60% is considered a success.. Anything over 60% is very good.. So far I'm only at 47% of my excess weight lost.. But I'm also 6 months pregnant. Can't wait to lose the rest after baby is born. -
Well I'm 25 weeks pregnant now and I was 207 when I found out I was pregnant and I ended up losing in the beginning, I got down to 192 lbs before I started gaining weight. Now I'm at 198ish... Hoping to break even by the time I deliver and hopefully gain no more than 9 more lbs.

LOVE PINK is the slogan for Victorias Secret PINK, a store that I always loved but couldn't fit into before I had the surgery... My goal was to be able to shop there after I got sleeved and now it's one of my favorites.

So Can U Have It After Vsg...
lovePINK replied to gelen's_change's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
7 almost 8 months out and I can eat anything I want. I don't drink soda and only use 1% milk. Early out there were things that irritated my sleeve but now I can pretty much eat anything with no problem in small quantities. -
Twelve Weeks Pregnant, Four Months Post Op
lovePINK replied to BeautiifulEvolution's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I got pregnant almost 3 months out from surgery. I'm now 4 1/2 months pregnant and almost 7 months post op. My OB has not labeled me high risk. My pregnancy has been completely normal so far except the fact that I'm not gaining any weight (lost 15 lbs so far @ 19 weeks. which I'm not complaining about) I eat small healthy meals frequently. The baby is growing perfectly and I'm not deficient in any Vitamins. Just follow ur OBs instructions and u should be fine. The fact that you've lost 60 lbs already is nothing but good for you and probably the reason why u were able to conceive so easily. Good luck throughout the rest of ur pregnsncy and congrats -
Honestly, I got pregnant 3 months out from surgery and I'm not considered high risk at all... I'm almost 16 weeks pregnant and my baby is doing fine. I think ppl tend to exaggerate the whole "omg ur gonna be high risk because u didnt wait 2 years" thing. Birth control doesn't always work well post op and things happen! Like I said, I got pregnant at 3 months post op, I will be 6 months post op on the 3rd and me and my baby are doing GREAT. I'm still losing, very slowly but the OB doesn't seem concerned as long as the baby is still growing and I'm not deficient in any vitamins. The OB told me if I had gotten RNY instead of the sleeve it wouldve been a bigger issue that I had gotten pregnant so soon.

Having "girl" Problems - Ladies, Please Respond!
lovePINK replied to Origical's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got my period about a week after surgery and it wasn't due for about 2 wks after surgery. It lasted 14-15 days! I didn't get my next period til 41 days later. It lasted about 5-6 days. This had my freaked out because my periods were normal like clock work before I had the surgery. I got them every 28-29 days on time. Now it's like a guessing game and I'm only a little over 2 months out. -
Has Anyone Else Never Thrown Up?
lovePINK replied to traceyc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll be 8 wks out tomorrow and I've also never thrown up. I'm surprised because I haven't always stuck to the plan and I still think I eat too fast. -
You sound like me!! Except I had my surgery 2/3 and I've only lost 30 lbs.

Not Loosing Weight
lovePINK replied to ButterflyGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't feel bad. I'm 7 weeks out and have only lost 29 lbs, 27 since surgery. I stall litterally like every week, lose 2-3 lbs then stall again. -

1 Month Post Op, Do U See A Difference?
lovePINK replied to lovePINK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the reply!! I honestly can't see a difference besides in my face. -
So i was sleeved on 2/3/12 and im now 3 1/2 weeks out... i'm on my 2ND stall so far since surgery. i've been stuck at 226 for almost a week now... the last stall i had started around 10 days out and i was stuck at 229..What can i do to break this stall? im gettin mad because i always hear month 1 is the month where u lose the most weight and im like barely losing. i lost most of my weight in week 1. i've been trying different things such as drinking more Water, eating less carbs, eating more carbs, eating nothing but Protein, not eating at all (doing liquids/shakes), eating more frequently... NOTHING IS WORKING. i know i should've expected the "Week 3 stall" but i thought id get lucky and skip it since i already stalled after week 1. i'm almost 4 weeks out. i've lost 20 lbs so far i'm in the mushies stage havent started exercising yet (besides being on my feet all day at work im a waitress)

3 1/2 Weeks Out And Stalled Again
lovePINK replied to lovePINK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my bmi was either 42 or 43 when i had surgery. now its around 38. im happy about losing the 20 lbs so far but honestly, i've lost 20 lbs a month on my own, eating more food than i eat now plenty of times..of course i was never able to keep it off permanently, and when i did it on my own i never stalled like this. its so frustrating. i just wish there was something i could do to break it. i need to stop weighing myself everyday, but its SO HARD.
