i need alittle help from you guys...
emmas mom posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi guys! Well I am trying to figure out my post surgery diet and my husband had me reduced to tears cause he just doesnt understand! I have been taking pre-natal horse pills, Multivitamins for years. He asked why I cant take those pills after surgery. I told him i wont be able to swallow them and i would like to get chewable Vitamins. He wants me to crush the vitamins and put them in my drink. I told him that it might not dissolve and I might not get all the fluids in and I explained once again that my stomach will be really small and i will only be able to eat a tablespoon at a time. does anyone have any suggestions on what i can say to my husband to get him to understand my point of view/ I REALLY dont want to fight with him or stress out over this. thanks! -
good idea!!! thanks for the tip! my surgery is wednesday and i will definately be packing lose pants!!!

What was your Bougie Size?
emmas mom replied to emmas mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
a bougie is the size of the tube the surgeon uses as a guide when restricting your new tummy. i am finding that sizes 32 - 40 is the norm. i'm thinking a bigger tube/guide is less restrictive. but smaller than a 32 can cause the risk for strictures. You dont have to ask your dr about it, but, its good to know for curiosity sake! My surgery is wednesday. Good luck! -

final meeting with my surgeon before the big day! 8/17
emmas mom posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my final meeting with my surgeon! So far so good! I have lost 26 lbs so far! My husband took me out for a last hurrah dinner to the outback and I ate cheese fries and blooming onion! I found after medifast for the last few weeks, i definately cant eat as much as i used to, and, the fries didnt taste as good either! That is a good thing!!! LOL! Back to medifast tomorrow! I cant believe my surgery is in 9 days! I am excited and nervous at the same time! I wonder how I am going to do long term eating small portions! Like, I wonder how parties and holidays and get togethers are gonna be! It seems my whole social and family life revolves around food! Does anyone else have those fears? I also have a 20 month old little girl who wants me to hold her all the time! I cant get up and walk out of the room with out her running after me and crying to get picked up! I LOVE that my daughter and I have that closeness, but, I am scared post op cause I cant lift her for a few weeks and I dont want to hurt her feelings. I pray I have NO complications and I hope that I lose quick and steady! I love hearing success stories of 100 in 10 months! wow! -

Hi Fellow sleevers! I am scheduled for my sleeve on August 17th! I am so excited! Dr Ingram is doing my sleeve! Has anyone had it done by her? I know she said she only did like 4, so that is kinda a concern of mine! But, I am trusting that she knows what she is doing and that I will have a successful sleeve experience! Wish me luck!!!! -
