I know we're all different and our weight loss is the same way. Im just looking for some basic weight loss stats. My surgery was on April 4, 2011 and I weighed in at 278. As of today I'm at 201. Seems slow(?) of course I've chested on Halloween and thanksgiving. Can't seem to stay under 1000 caleries. I'm eating 1200-1400. I know that's too many. But I'm still hungry at 1000 and it always hits me at the end of the day. I hate going to bed hungry. Any suggestions ?

Anybody 6 To 8 Months Postop ?
Luv4me replied to Luv4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you everyone for the advice. Truth be told........I no I'm not drinking the proper amount of water, I'm not eating the proper amount of protein and I'm not exercising the way that I should. I've really started back some bad habits and it scares me. I'm going to buckle down and get myself back together and do what I'm suppose to be doing. Thanks again -
Well.......... I made it through my first Thanksgiving Day Feast, but I Honesty have to say it was harder then I expected it to be. I'm now month 7 and on December 4 I'll be 8 months out. Things have been good (I guess) its been moving very slow and I can't seem to make it to onederland. I've been hovering between 205-200 for around 4 weeks now and it's driving me CrAzY. I've been on a hungry spell this last week and have helped myself to anything my little sleeve desired. I've been crazing. This includes stuffing/gravy, pie, mashed potatoes ( the ones with lots of butter and real cream) I started cooking thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday and grazed all day and Thursday too. I actually ate so much food yesterday that my sleeve started to hurt and I was scared. What's going on inside my head. I'm not that hungry. I fell like I'm longing for my old friend (food), and this makes me very depressed. I started this journey at 278 solid pounds. I'm only 5 ft 2inches so you can imagine how heavy I looked, and how bad my eating habits were. I'm making some changes and it starts TODAY! I'm going to try the 5 day pouch test. Have any of you tried this? I want to get back in touch with my sleeve and awake the sleeping scales and get rid of the monster inside. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks for your post.

WOW what a GREAT feeling. I know cause I have recently been to the movies and it was the greatest feeling being able to sit my A down in the chair and actually fit. I'm only 1/2 way to my goal and I look so forward to the feeling that will come when I have EXTRA room in the seat, but for right now I'll just enjoy the journey. Thanks for reminding me why I'm gonna make it to the finish line.

?CALORIES? Will they be the death of me?
Luv4me posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Everyone, Happy Independence Day Weekend As of Monday July 4, I will be 3 months Postop. With all the weight loss articles I've read, I Know now that its all about calories. I used the chat that estimated that to Maintain my current weight I would need to Consume 2159 cals a day. To lose 1lb A week you need to take in -500 less calories a day for a total of 3500 less A week. So if my calculations are wright I'll be lucky to lose 6-8 lbs a month. After surgery, no problem with calorie Control. Now that some time has passed I'm having hunger pains and feel hungry on and off 5-7 times daily. I'm doing a good job of eating the low cal Foods, but even tho, I'm still eating 1200- 1500 Calories a day. (that's too many) So far things have worked out and I've gone From 278lb (preop diet included) to my weigh in today at 222. (-56lbs) that's Ok weight lose but I honestly feel that I should Have lost alot more. The problem is, if I keep up eating this many calories it's going to take me FOREVER to lose the remainder of the 72lbs. I've set as my goal. What to do is my question? Anybody know? P.S. I started riding my bike again a three weeks ago and exercise is now a part of my weight lose plan. -

?CALORIES? Will they be the death of me?
Luv4me replied to Luv4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for your replys. I can not lie, I have not counted any carbs just calories and protein. My doc never said ANYTHING about how many calories I should intake daily, the only thing he stressed to me was 85grams protein. I have kept a daily record of EVERTHING that goes into my mouth. I guess I could go back and take a look see at carbs I'm consuming. How many carbs should I eat? Any help is greatly appreciated. -
Red Lobster 4 Lunch Today
Luv4me replied to Purdy in Pink's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Happy Birthday Purdy Listen, I go to Chilis every other week and I enjoy the Heck out of it. We have to continue our lives and continue Doing the things that make us happy. We just have to be Careful and moniter the foods and calories we eat. Now a days most all resturents have a nutritional page on There web site which makes it so easy for us in helping To decide what to order. When my friends our family want to go have dinner we decide where we are going and I go straight to thee nut page and decide then what I'm gonna order based on calories, protein etc..., I don't even look at The menu. It helps me to do this-it may help you too. Have fun with it and don't feel guilty. -

Luv4me replied to Sarah E. S.'s topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
What a positive attitude you have. I'm so impressed with your "GO GET'EM CONFIDENCE" Your absolutely going to make this happen, and even tho your insurance will make you diet for another six months O-WELL. I LOVE YOU TUDE. (attitude) -
I hope your completely over your illness and are feeling better I'm at the same place with my weight and I've been at a stand still for the past couple weeks. I'm not going to let it get me down, and don't you let it get you down. We are going to do this, and nothing is going to stop us!

Hardest habits to break/adopt
Luv4me replied to Douceur72's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The hardest habit for mo to break is eating while watching TV. I have always been one to fill-up my plate and grab the remote. Postop I found that if I wanted to live by the rules of my sleeve, that Id need to dedicate my meal time to just that (my meal)..... So now when I sit down at the TABLE, I am concentrating on eating slowly, protein first, and nothing to drink. When I finish my meal I glance up at the clock to see what time it is, and add 30 min. To know when I can fix me a CRYSTAL LIGHT. -
Ok--------- I mean it!! TODAYS THE DAY!! two months postop and not enough energy after work. 50lbs down and feel proud, however I'm ready to lose that Blaaaaa feeling, not just the pounds..... What will help my energy level and motivate me to work out after work. ?????
-
Thanks 4 your response. Day Dreamer what a GREAT idea. I'm gonna try the unflavored Protein in my crystal light. I LOVE MY CRYSTAL LIGHT! DeAkay, You just might be right about the time of day I'm trying to exercise. I'd have to get up at least an hour earlier, however once it's done (it's done)!! These are 2 really good ideas and I plan on giving them a shot. Thanks guys:)

I thought it may have something to do with my weight loss. (?) I've also stalled for 10 days got on the scales Monday and Bammm lost 3lds in
