I am the greenest green of envy!! Super congrats!!!

Natures Miracle works in layers kind of. I had a bad cat spot. Saturate the spot really really well, then when it's dry, do it again. it WILL get it out, you just have to take a little time.

DeLarla, are you on any kind of antidepressants? And or would you consider them? I went to the doc last Friday for depression and she gave me Welbutrin. I know for some people it doesn't work and they don't like it, but the folks it works for it seems to work really well. Anyway, she told me that it can promote weight loss, and I've found it to have an head hunger suppressant effect. More days than not this week, even when my stomach was growling, I just haven't felt like eating. On Monday I only had one meal just because I didn't even think about food. Worth a shot?

I am a turtle and I think the problem I have is pretty much the same as Jack's. I need to go the the gym more, and watch what I'm eating more. I'm doing well, but I could do better. But there's alot of people who it really doesn't matter what they do that without medical help they aren't going to lose. You should catch up on VinesQueen if you haven't already.

They get me every year two. I have had 2 in the last few weeks, and I have one sitting on my desk at work that's been there since Monday. Not TOO bad, but maybe one year I can just avoid them altogether, lol.

I have another question to add to p's poll, but I thought it would get more attention if I started another thread. I am going to need a lift severly when I'm done losing weight, but I haven't had kids yet, and I am going to want to breast feed when I do have kids. Can I have a lift before I have kids and still have everything work right, does anyone know? Thanks!

Do you mind if I ask why your insurance company would care what medication you are taking?

I've heard that eating a lighter dinner and making sure that it's all washed out of your pouch before you go to sleep is the way to not be quite so tight in the morning. I haven't actually put that into conscious practice yet, so I couldn't tell you if it works, but I am very tight lots of mornings.

I'm 24, 5'6" and started at 280. I'm at 225 now, and haven't lost anything since August. My lower stomach 'panni' area, hangs just a little bit, but I believe that the skin has tightened up since august. I have read that it can take a year or more for skin to go back, so even if you lose all your weight, if you just have a little bit of access skin, you might give it some time before you go have surgery to have it removed. Stretch marks will affect the elasticity though. I have a number of them, and I doubt my skin will go all the way back where I want it too.

Anaprox/Naproxin/NSAID's once a month for cramps?
Marimaru replied to gadgetlady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It's going to depend on your doctor, but I took Aleve for a couple of weeks for tendonitis. I think the biggest fear with NSAIDS is having them sit in the pouch and weakening that area before they pass through. Any time I take an NSAID (not often, don't get me wrong), I chug a big ol' bottle of water. -
I'm considered a "turtle", and yes, I wish I was losing weight faster (at all, currently), but I still wouldn't get the RNY. SOMETIMES when I'm really depressed I think about the DS, but in MY head that is a fleating though, and doesn't stick around for very long. Like Lisa, I'm no good with remembering pills. I manage to take my birth control every day, but can't seeem to get the multi vitamin in...

I don't remember going into the OR, otherwise I probably would have thought the same thing, lol.

Awesome.

Glad to hear you are home safe. If I went to a lab to get my results and they told him I couldn't have them, I probably WOULD pitch a hissy fit! I'm so sick of doctors and their staff and how they treat people who need help! Anyway... I'm glad that everyone's warm fuzzies are helping you out too. I can't imagine how nice it must be to be tuckin' in with the family when you didn't think you'd be able to for a while.

That's great girly! And your yard is beautiful!

I would say to make sure that you can manage your PB's before you get the fill. If you can manage them at this fill level, then get a little tighter and make sure you can still manage them. Also, remember that for alot of people what they can and can't eat changes with nearly every fill!

I was not given that rule, and I find that I actually swallow less air when I drink from a straw, and I'm able to drink faster, so I get more liquids in. Drinking faster is okay when you are healed, but if you are still healing just after surgery you probably shouldn't do it.

I was back at work 4 days after my surgery... but I sit on my butt all day at a computer. I most definately would NOT have been ready to watch all those kids!! Are some of the kids old enough to understand that they need to be gentle and help extra with the younger kids or anything like that? Also, there are some lifting restrictions right after surgery usually too...

I also don't have kids yet, but I am putting this information into my mental list of things to do and not do to/for my kids. I was also on diets from about 8 years old and it just does horrible things to your head I think. I was about 160 in Jr. High and my dad had me on slim fast. Oh what I wouldn't give to be there now, lol. My mom did the coolest thing for vegetables. I'm the oldest, so it started with me. When I was old enough for "What's that?" "Can I have some?" She told me that vegetables were adult food and I wouldn't like it. I don't know how long she told me that before finally giving in (I don't actually have memory of this, I was told about it), but of course, I wanted those veggies REALLY BAD, and LOVED THEM when I got to finally have them. Just thought I'd share

I have a Tivo too, and I do the same thing. What's even funnier, is that if I happen to be watching live TV, and see a commercial that I like, it's usually for a product that a) I already buy or don't buy, and I still don't buy it even after seeing the commercial. I mean really, how sick is it that there's are shows after the Superbowl dedicated to what the COMMERCIALS WERE?!?!

Please help me find a decent low fat butter...
Marimaru replied to Iziksmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Land o' Lakes (I am pretty sure) also makes a light butter with canola oil. It's 60 calories to butter's usual 100 and it's pretty good. -
Got the results of my Upper GI tests - Guess What?

Debt is this huge thing that just sits on your shoulders forever. I got myself into a little trouble a couple of years ago, and my mom paid it off and let me pay her back. I got her paid off completely over the summer, and then spent a bunch more money getting my teeth fixed, and am now making payments again (not to mom this time tho). Anyway.. Do you have medical insurance? It really sounds like you could benefit from some medication and counceling. Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm in the same boat. I was on paxil a few years ago, but just got perscribed wellbutrin on Friday, and was given a referral to a councelor. Also, journeling is nice. I've sometime journalled online, but recently while I was traveling I just grabbed a notebook and started writing in it. I wrote for almost the entire 2 hour planeride. It feels really nice to get the thoughts "out" even if you never let anyone read them. (I'm 24 too by the way). Where do you live?
