  1. Hi! June 20th for me. I have lost 13 pounds so far on pre-op diet. I found a really great protien powder at Walmart that taste pretty good and it has for 1 scoop 26g. protien or 2 scoops 52g. I mix a yogurt fat free of course with 1 scoop and it is delish! Like you I am excited and a little nervous. I just can't wait to start this new chapter of my life. I am 60 so it will be exciting to not be fat for once in my adult life. Right now I'm drinking a EAS chocolate Myoplex for Breakfast and it has 42g so it is starting out to be a good day. Take care now and good luck with your pre-op diet. Wendy (mac)
  2. Hi I'm having my surgery on June 20th and I can't wait. Saw my doctor on monday did the testing. Now my doctor wants an EKG, Chest xray, cbc and cmp. The testing we did at the first visit was Psychiatric Consulation' meet with Anesthesia and have an education class. I have to lose ten pounds before my surgery so I am starting on the sleeve diet now. I was told the day of surgery everybody is scared ,so you just have to let them know and they will give you something extra. Once your on the IV there is stuff in that to calm you down. I hope this has helped you a little. Good luck and God Bless Wendy (Mac)

  4. Good luck with your diet. I know the liver can be a tricky little booger when it wants to. I found out the hard way when I took the hcg drops. My doctor had a fit and then showed me the results of my liver lab. Thank the Lord it did not do permanent damage. Doesn't it feel good to know we have this great opportunity before us? By the way I am not a guy, I have to change my little head guy. Mac

Hi, I'm Mac. I am just starting my journey to become a sleever. Eventho I am not in Portland, I live in Eugene you are so close to me. I am 5feet tall and right now my weight is 266lbs. It took a along time for me to start this. I spent a long time fighting insurance to no avail. We finally decided to just go for it because I am not getting any younger. I will be going to Coos Bay to have my surgery. It will be day surgery then I have to stay close to the hospital for 1 night. My sisters are coming to help me for the first few days. My husband works graveyard so it will be nice to have them here so I will not be alone. I wish you the best on your journey and maybe we can talk again. Good luck getting your group together.
