My name is Cheryl I'm 30 yrs. old and I live in Savannah Georgia. I may be a little bias, but have to say that this is the most beautiful city in the South. I have three children that are the absolute reason for my existence. They are the reason that I finally decided to have wls. Its hard for me to admit, but because of my weight they have missed out on a whole lot. I just don't have the get up and go that a lot of other parents seem to have.

My weight has always been a problem for me. Since early childhood I was always the fat kid. I'm sure there are a few others on here that know how that feels. I remember getting teased and bullied all the way through school. Boy can I remember the name calling. My favorite or the one that has stuck with me through the years is when I was called a "big fat donut eating Jenny Craig reject." You have to admit it's pretty creative.

Being that fat kid was one thing, but becoming the fat adult is what really gets me. I'm at my highest weight now which is 542 lbs. and denial has been my best friend. It started like this: I'm 180lbs. well I'll never be 200, then its I'll never be 250, no way I'll ever get over 300. I'm guessing you can see where I'm going with that. lol But the past is the past nothing I can do about that. I'm just so ready to embrace the future. I want to run full force into wherever life takes me.
