So I'm 16 days postop and I return to see my surgeon this afternoon. I'm so excited to go on the messy diet, I went out last night and bought all the things I think I need for the next stage, so along with everything else I'm learning to prepare for things ahead! One thing I never did before and it always ended me up at a fast food restuarant. According to my scale this morning I was down 28 pounds. YAY!!! What was everyones first messy diet meal??? I'm so happy that I am a sleever and I love being a loser!! I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Mine was around 3 hours, but my surgery was all done through one incision in my belly button. Which is great because u will never know I had surgery..no scars!! I was the 4th or 5th single incision they had done at this particular hospital, and everything went great!!

I had surgery on May 3, 2011 and was back to work the following Wednesday 5/11/11. I didn't have any complications and the first day I was tired, which was to be expected, but I think the best thing I did was pushing myself to get back to work, I'm now 2 weeks post op and I feel great!! I also have a desk job and that is why I only took a total of 8 days. Good luck!!

I so needed to read this post today!! I am two weeks post op and I had lost 10 pounds my first week after surgery and I got on the scale today and have only lost 2 pounds in my second week post op. I'm also so sick of drinking protein shakes that a few times this week I didn't eat my evening shake because I just didn't want to, I wasn't hungry and was just sick of it, not that I can't get it down because I can, just didn't want it and I think thats probably bad! So I was feeling alittle frustrated, but after reading this I'M NOT GONNA STRESS about it!! I go to the doctors on Thursday and can't wait to get on the messy diet. Thank you so much for posting this!!

Hi everyone!! Today is my 10 day post sleeve and I'm feeling great!!! I think the best thing I did was getting back to work after 8 days, each day I wake up with more and more energy and I feel great!! I am so blessed to have been able to have this experience and with no complications. I was so scared of complications, but so far this experience has been amazing. However, I can't wait till next Thursday to go on the messy diet!!! It's not that I'm hungry I think it's a mental thing that I want to chew something instead of drink. But that will soon end!! NO REGRETS!!! Loving life!!!

Maggie, I'm not able to find the May sleevers in post op? Please help!! I'd like to post there as well seeing I'm am a May Sleever as well!!

Maggie, I saw your videos and I'm so sorry your having a tough time, I hope things are getting better by the day!! Thanks Everyone!!

I can relate alittle to this as my boyfriend was opposed to me having the surgery but for other reasons then you. My boyfriend was afraid of losing me by death from the surgery not by me leaving him or jealousy. My boyfriend is totally against any kind of surgery (kinda wierd I know), and his cousin had the bypass and almost died, so that didn't help either. But we sat down and talked about it and he told me it was my decision and that he would be supportive of my decision no matter what, he loved ME. When I got my surgery date, he asked for the time of work, we didn't talk to much about the surgery until like a week before. Since my surgery he has really become interested in my weight lose..HE IS NOW SO SUPPORTIVE!! I also had no complications and he was thrilled with that!! Hope if all works out the way you wish!!

Hi everyone!! Today is my first day back to work after being sleeved last Tuesday! I'm still very tired and weak, but can't afford to take anymore time off. I feel great otherwise, my surgery has been a hug sucess thus far and I'm down a total of 24 pounds!!! I'm so looking forward to the future!!!

I did okay, was really tired and weak, but I didn't push myself to much! Today I feel much better! So maybe it was good to get back to work..@ Maggie, How are you feeling, how did everything go with surgery?

Congrats!!! I was sleeve on May 3 and I feel almost exactly the same way, the gas is the worst of it!!

Hi eveyone!! I was sleeved on May 3, 2011 and I feel great!! I had alittle nausea and still have alot of gas, but other then that, I'm doing very well!! Hoping my recovery continues on this path!! No regrets!! I just came home tonight from the hospital, so I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. My boyfriend at first was very upset to hear I want to do this procedure, but said he loved me no matter what, if I chose to do it, he would be supportive. On the way home tonight he had some many questions, he finally asked and I think he was just really worried and now that he knows I'm okay, he is excited too!! I'm very happy to continue on this new journey!! CHEERS TO NEW BEGINNINGS!!!!

I just started my journey on Tuesday when I was sleeved and I love to read success like this, that is amazing!! You GO GIRL!!!

THANKS EVERYONE!! Just alittle discomfort today from the gas..I'm trying to walk it out of me..LOL..but so far so good!! I'm very happy!!

Hi everyone!! So I have everything ready for tomorrow, my "BIG DAY", but I can't figure out why the heck I'm so emotional today?? Anyone else feel this way the day before? I mean I'm nervous, but not stressing to much, just keep crying everytime someone tells me they love me or how proud they are of me..WEIRD!!!

I'm very excited but also very nervous, but I know this is normal. I have so much support and I know this is the best thing for me!! Wish me LUCK!!
