  1. I weigh everyday and log it in a monthly calendar. I try not to let the daily weights bother me, I look for a pattern of loss and calculate my loss monthly. I measure myself monthly and I haven't been good about taking taking pictures. Good Luck with your plan.

    Any Michigan Sleevers?

I was sleeved November 28, 2011 by Dr. Verseman in Kalamazoo. Great experience all around.
  3. I'm just over 10 months out from surgery and I have lost a little over 80% of my excess weight. I still plan on losing the last 20%, however, it will likely be at a much slower rate than the first 80% loss.
  4. You look fabulous and happy!!

    Blah

I know the feeling. In May I had to have my thyroid removed and since then, I only lost 3 pounds in over 6 weeks. My voice is very hoarse and I'm not feeling sexy/attractive/cute. Having my ability to verbally communicate diminished to the point of whispering to everyone is depressing. I'm hoping that once my thyroid levels are get to the desired levels and my voice returns, I will start feeling better. I also feel the heat wave has caused me to feel down. I hope you start feeling better soon!!!

    Period Related (Tmi)

I found that after the first few months after surgery my periods were more intense the first couple of days of my cycle, but they didn't last as long. I went from 2 or 3 Super tampons during my work day to 5 - 6 SuperPlus tampons and I now get up at least once, but mostly twice during the night the first night. I have seen my ob/gyn and he wasn't concerned about the increase in flow. This is my experience and I was able to see my dr for my annual visit a couple of months after my surgery. I do agree with golderraisin who have suggested you see either an ob/gyn or PCP to get an official opinion on the changes in your cycle. Feel better soon!

    Got High At Macy's!

It is fun isn't it! It is so nice to buy clothes because I like how they look on me and not just because I finally found something that fit and I could tolerate. I had this experience a few weeks ago at Dress Barn. I had tried on several tops and they all fit, but I didn't want to buy 5 tops. So, I'm standing there contemplating the shirts and it finally dawned on me that I should only buy the ones that look good, because 'just fitting me' isn't good enough anymore. Thanks for sharing your story...

    The Fat Pants

You look fabulous! Our beginning stats and goal are almost the same. I have been glad to say good bye to the size 20's, but I can't imagine ever getting to a size 2. Great job working your sleeve, thanks for the inspirational post.

    My Weight Loss Journey

Great job! Good luck on your last 13 pounds. I'm sure you will get to goal in the near future.
  19. I enjoy a Vitamin Water Zero, Squeezed (lemonade flavor) server cold or over ice.
  20. You look fabulous! Congrats!
  21. I start my 'mushy' food phase on Wednesday and my nutritionist says to start with 1 - 2 oz (1/4 cup) of pureed foods and increase as tolerated to 4 oz. (1/2 cup) per meal. I too will be measuring my foods so that I don't go over the limits. I have purchased some small bowls and plates for home (thank goodness for the appetizer frenzy of late, there are so many cute small dishes) and some small snapware containers for taking back and forth to work.
  22. Wow. You look great! Keep up the good work.
  23. I brought some sugar-free halls and sf cherry life savers because my mouth was so dry after surgery. Good luck!
