  1. I have been using LoseIt ap on my iPhone. There is a website where you can also enter data into their website www.loseit.com To track my intake for the nutritionist, I am able to print off daily or weekly reports to take to my appointments.
  2. I can relate to being tired of sipping and I'm also just one week out.
  3. Great job!!!! I can really see the difference.
  4. I just had my surgery on Monday (first surgery of the day) and I can say I was in some pain on Monday but the nurses were great at making sure I didn't let my pain go over a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. On Tuesday morning when the doctor came in she said that the second day will be the worse because I will go through a stage of 'why did I do this to myself'. However, I never did have that stage, I know exactly why I did this to myself and knew that it would be better tomorrow and each day after, largely due to reading here for months before surgery. It was nice to have some of the nurses who also had weight loss surgery come in and ask if I had any questions about recovery. I had an excellent hospital experience and the doctor said the nurses were praising my progress and attitude. My best advise would be to make sure you let the staff know what you pain level is and take the pain meds. There is no sense in suffering if you can prevent it. Best Wishes.
  5. My surgery is on Monday, so I didn't eat any Thanksgiving dinner, just my protein shakes and a sf-jello. I really didn't miss eating as I still was able to visit with my family.
  6. Congrats on your successes so far. Posts like this are very inspirational to me as I prepare for my surgery. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Sending you good vibes for your surgery tomorrow. I imagine your positive attitude will help get you through the next few days and weeks.
  8. Hello! My name is Jodi and my surgery date is November 28th. I’m 48 years old, married and have two children. I’m excited that I finally have a surgery date and am starting the pre-surgery appointments. My BMI is 42and I have no co-morbidities. Initially, my husband was concerned about me having surgery until I took him to the first appointment with the surgeon. He originally was under the impression that if I changed my diet and worked out more, I could lose the weight. He’s seen me lose the weight several times over the years, so he knows I can do it. However, I explained that if it were that easy for me, I wouldn’t be considering the surgery. I’m looking forward to being able to play with my 3 grand daughters (2 ½ years, 2 years & 15 months). Currently, I’m not comfortable getting down on the floor for long periods of time or playing on the swings on our new play set. I was so happy to find this site and I’ve spent a lot of time reading posts and gathering information. Thank you all!
