this is normal! i went back to work after 3 weeks, and my pants were STILL too tight. i refused to buy new ones in a larger size. i wore big shirts & would unbutton my jeans LOL!

i was sleeved on 5/24. it took me over a week to go to the bathroom. it will happen. i think that everything you're feeling is normal. i ate whole popcicles--a lot of them. they tasted better that anything else. also, my incision pain was horrible, but it gets better every day. i am still sore, and i am 3 weeks out. it will get better!

i was sleeved on the same day as you. i had my period about a week after my surgery. it was actually lighter than normal. my nurse told me that my period might be out-of-whack for a while. i don't think that you should worry. good luck.

i just finished making shrimp salad a few minutes ago. so good! last week, i boiled a handful of shrimp & brought them to work for lunch.

i was sleeved on 5/24. i have been having a hard time, too (not as bad as you, though). i throw up every other day or so. i know that it will get better, and i hope your new meds work for you soon. good luck.

How can you tell that you've eaten enough? Is it when you belch? This sounds crazy, but I don't know when to stop. I feel restriction about halfway through my meal, and I think that there's no way that my stomach is that small...so I eat until it hurts. I am in no way over eating--my meals are 1/4 to 1/2 a cup. Any advice??

Someone just told me that you can buy Protein pills!! No more shakes??? Am I missing something here? Surely there's a REASON why you guys are not talking about this... If you know something, please speak up before I go out and buy some!!

Hey guys, I was sleeved last week, 5/24. I have been battling something...I guess it's acid?? Feels like "hot vapors" are coming up my esophagus. It happens a-lot, especially after I eat. Has anyone else experienced this?? It is really making me NOT want to eat or drink

Today was my first Dr. visit since I was sleeved last week (5/24). The Dr. removed my drain and said that I was doing good. I lost 14 pounds! I know that any loss is good, but does this compare to some of you out there? I really didn't have a post-op diet to lose on prior. Since surgery, I've been on liquids, then mushies...the Dr. said that I can have ground meats next week! It's crazy how much our Dr.'s instructions vary on here, huh? I was self-pay, so I didn't have the advantage of meeting with a nutritionist--should I? I am clueless of HOW to eat, and am TERRIFIED that I will fail

i was sleeved on 5/24. this week, i went in for my check-up, and my dr. said that i can start ground meats on monday (2 weeks post-op). every dr. is different. i think that monday is a little too soon for me.

No pre-op diet, lost 14lbs the first week.

trust me--i am no PRO at this, as I was only sleeved last week...LOL...BUT, today at my Dr's office, the nurse said to expect to not really lose but a pound or two in the next 2 weeks. Hope this makes you feel better!

i feel just as you do! i was sleeved on tues 5/24. i have a drain on my right side. the incsion that is below the drain hurts so bad!! it is really keeping me down. i am still on pain meds. i am drinking ok and eating lightly. no way do i have the energy to run errands!
