Mari Mari .... You and I could be twins when it comes to the desire to eat, not wanting to be cut off even more from something you enjoy spending time with, and that something is FOOD! I was struggling with the same thoughts as you when I decided to just do it. I mean thats why I got the band in the first place. I could'nt seperate myself from the food... so the band does it for me. I must say it's doing a fine job of it too. I reasoned with myself on getting the second fill. I told myself that I could always go back to the way it was before if I find that more restriction is too much restriction. When I went in I told my Doc that I ate a 7 layer burrito (minus 50% of the tortills) for supper the night before he said, "You should'nt be able to eat so much of burrito." and got up to go get the saline solution for my fill. That was 5 days ago and so far so good. I did and still am adjusting to this new level of restriction. I'm happy with my chocolate flavored protien/Iced Java drinks in the morning. And very small meals through out the day. I have the same problem in the morning with alot of restriction in the mornings. I don't even enjoy hot coffee anymore it gives me indigestion. Hope this helps! TTFN

Hi Tricia, I'm doing well with my new fill. Things have changed alot. I WORK on my Water intake but I'm willing to do it. My food intake has gone down ALOT. Thats the point. Right? You may have just a little bit too much of a fill. How hard would it be to get your Doc. to take a little out? A little bit makes a huge difference. Do you have to make a trip to Mexico? If your Doc is local why not give it a try? If your feeling sick at your stomache alot and not able to get enough water AND can't eat protien that can only lead to disaster. I'de be concerned about hair loss. Sure it grows back but you suffer in the process. I agree with La Madem on everything she said. This is my opinion so keep that in mind. I'm telling you what I would do. Good Luck and keep us posted:(

Betty, I'm so excited for you! -
I thought it was just me and my body, but I have major gas esp. when I eat. It dos'nt matter what I eat I know i'm gonna need to burp. Sometimes the gas and food compete with each other and the result is PAIN. So, I usually eat 2 bites and rest till some air escapes then I eat a couple more bites...you get the picture? I like the simethicone idea. Thanks Marie!

Lisa that was a good little story. It' amazing how animals can touch our heart like they do. My DH was heartbroken yesterday...He lost his DD (dear dog) yesterday. Toms had that dog more than 10 years that I know of. Poor dog hung onto life till he could'nt any more. I've begged pleaded and demanded that Tom take Buddy down to the vet and have him put to sleep for three years now. People would come over and pity the poor pup. Buddy had problems. Lots of problems. Buddy had the kind of mange thats in the blood stream (red mange) there is no cure for it, just treatment (expensive meds), he contracted it when he was a pup nursing off his mother. so, he was on medication for life. On top of that he got an ear infection about 5 years ago, his ear bloated up like a balloon and deflated like a balloon & by the time we got him to the vet his ear was permanently mangled. I felt terrible about that happening, I begged Tom then to go ahead and put him down instead we got him some antibiotics and it healed up. Tom was obviosly having a hard time letting go. That was not all of Buddys problems. Buddy was allergic to fleas! When fleas would go to the eyes to drink his eyes would produce some sort of junk that would mat up and have to be wiped away with a warm wash cloth everyday or he would walk around blind! Poor Buddy would walk around w/o most of his fur and half blind most of the time because Tom was'nt consistant with his meds or wiping the gunk from his eyes. Your probly wondering why I did'nt take on the resonsibility of caring for Buddy. Well thats just it I did'nt care for Buddy. That was Toms dog not mine. I knew Buddy led a miserable life I could see that just looking at him. When Tom looked at him it was through love. They say love is blind. I believe them now. Never seen anything like it before. Never want to see it again. Tom told me it should make me feel good that he would'nt just put his dog down. That it shows how when I get old he won't abandon me and put me down. I remided him that he was 13 years older than me...... I know this sometimes can be a sensitive subject and this story was gross but I shared it because we sometimes have a hard time letting go of our dear pet that has been a loyal companion for many years. If thay are suffering or quality of life is poor we should let them go.

Donali, I can see you as "The Flapper".....smokey eyes....dark lips.... To pull it off you have to radiate energy and life! For those of you who don't know what were talking about I'll attach a phot of T-Boz painted up as a Flapper. The original Flapper was Josephine Baker starred in the early 1920's she was the rage in Paris. I told you I was a fashion freak at times!

I went on vacation 2 weeks after my surgery. But I made sure to do no lifting or over extend myself. I kicked back at a B&B and scrapbooked. What are you planning on doing on this family vacation is the question you should be asking yourself.

I enjoyed the story as much as the pics! Thank You!

This one is 50 by 50 mp exactly! I agree it captures Pennis pretty smile! Has anyone figured out if these avatars are postable or not? I'm tempted to try myself, maybe the old lady will be my new avatar! I don't know how to access others profiles to post for them. I don't know how Donali does it. Or does she? I know Alexandra is a moderator so she can help with posting avatars.
