OMG Ladies ... Thank you for the support Life has been busy! Being a single mother is hard, you add being a full time student on top of that and you have STRESS galore! Good news, I'm still holding @ 160 lbs. Maintaining is fairly easy ...just follow the rules of the band:) The amazing part of this whole thing is the low maintanance of the band itself. I've been to the doctor strictly to get my fills in the beginning. My level of restriction seems to be just right and holding. I worry some times that my band will slip when I stretch too far or throw up for one reason or another. Danali lost her band due to a super stretch I wonder how she's doing by the way. Anyone know?

Does anyone out there have a good solution for hives? I've never had hives in my life and now my face is COVERED in them! I really do resemble the hunchback with a narled face! I've been under so much stress with issues in my life I've broke out badly with these things. I need something other than benedryl, that puts me to sleep. I have rubbed anti itch creme on them but thats not enough.

$12,500 here by Dr. Spivac in Houston Tx. and yes, it is possible you'll need 3 fills or more that first year. I was fortunate, when I had my 2nd fill a few months back (dated on my signature down below) I achieved a nice restriction level that has carried this far. Losing 95 lbs. in 9 1/2 months is bliss! Would I do it again the exact same way? You bet, In a heart beat! It comforts me to know that my Doctor & I have a "relationship" & I know he'll be there for me in case of an emergency. (crossing my fingers now) Mexico is a bit cheaper but I've heard ALOT of people having trouble finding aftercare once thay get home. Of course you need to do whats best for your budget. I'm just encouraging you to ponder the consecuenses if you decide to go to Mexico. Maybe you can call around and see if there is a Doctor in your area who accepts patients from other doctors.

When you stand up after sitting in a chair with arms and the chair is stuck to your butt and you swing around coming close to taking out the entire back row...*humiliating* When your hubby mistakes a fat roll for your boobies ...*exasperated or disgusted, your choice* When the teenage boy at Astro World has to leap, shove and perform arobics just to get your buckle to snap ...*petrified*

Donali ...your contribution to this site is invaluable. You're always giving excellent advise/tips and keep yourself busy encouraging others on this forum. Just wanted to let you know your appreciated also wanted to say that when you do struggle or need support we'll be here, I hope that you allow us to scratch your back in return. Realting to your POV on these things comes easy for me and many others obviously. It's good to hear that you are staying on top of things (emotional eating ect ...) and have come to a place of honesty with yourself. Something this band has done for me is open my eyes to the lies I once told myself. It sure feels good to be free of that "ghosts" in my closet that once haunted me. Seeking help/therapy is a good thing and I'm still on my way ...not trying to say I've "arrived" cause I know I hav'nt. Alexandra you too girl, I appreciate the "NO Nonsence" and "Level Headed" way of approaching things. You offer balance and this forum would'nt be the same with out you. Thanks for volunteering your time moderating for us kids here @LBT.com The loss of our dear Blossom has caused me to be gratitude for the people that has influenced or encouraged me in some way or another. I just want to let yall know you make a difference. No, you do more than that ...You people Rock! Psst ...Donali aka Super Woman, hows the new hubby doin? Hav'nt heard from you in a long time also did you ever finish your porch all the way? You can PM me if you don't want to hijack this thread

*Hugs* and *kisses* to you gurls ... Michelle, Betty, Paula, Zoe and Bella (and the other supports on this board) ...you ladies encourage me with your selfless support. My spirits are always lifted when I see others like you reaching beyond yourselves offering your love and support to your fellow lapbandsters. Thank You for brightening my day ... *cheers* And vinesqueeen (Crystal?) that is a GI-Normous NSV, your doing fantastic ...keep up the good work and please keep us posted sister

Who ever said that Santa only comes once a year was telling a fib! He has to work year round just to keep up with growing population im sure. The only thing seasonal about Christmas time to Santa is the Bright Red Suit he wears for the month of December. I think he does that strictly for our entertainment and delight. (I'm certain that we asked him, he would prefer to work in something a little more comfortable like his "old faithful" pair of sweat pants *grin*) He was behind schedule this year but he did make his way down South and yeah I got my Ford (Explorer) Sport! No, it's not the Ford Sports Trac I originally asked for but Santa knew something I did'nt cause I like this ones much better =)
