Home for skin surgery with four drains, powerful narcotics and more pain than I thought was possible. Was it worth it? Time will tell. I want to thank you all for the good wishes and prayers. I am humbled by your concern and compassion. God Bless you ALL.

Thank you all! I think I will feel much better when I can get rid of these four drains and enough tubing to hang myself with.
I peeked today and it is soooo not purdy. Hundreds --that's the count my surgeon gave to me--of sutures. Yuck, yuck and more yuck. If all of this helps my chronic back pain then YES this all will be definitely be worth it. That and wonderful drugs to fight off the pain demons. -
