Oh Cludgie, I hear you loud and clear. Congratulations on reaching your goal. I am so happy for you. Enough is enough when you feel "right" about everything about you. Its a hard realization to come to because we have tried so long to be "normal" only to get part of the way there and then to see it slip away yet again. Now you don't have to worry about that anymore, you learned how to eat healthy, live healthy and now its time to think healthy. When you are comfortable where you are is the right place to be then that is enough. I am not there yet, yes I reached my goal jeans and that was a great feeling but I am not comfortable with everything else. Are you comfortable?

Job well done Chris! You look great!

Is 8 months out too late?

The sleeve gave us the tool to do what we thought was impossible. Now that we know it is possible if you slip, you still have that tool. Stay strong and go back to the basics of what you have learned. You are not starting over, but continuing on in your journey. I have no doubt that you will make it no matter how long it takes. Stay strong! -

Day 5 was a little rough but not too bad. Definately wanted the tobacco taste, but the nicotine from the e-cig helped. Today we start Day 6 .... one day at a time! -
Love it! My new goal is a 4 comfortably. In a snug 6 now

What is Vg and Pg? Just makes my mouth sensitiven areound my cheeks and a little on my tongue. I've read where this is a side effect of the e-cigs in general. I think its just a matter of getting used to smoking them. We shall see. Day 5!!! -

Woot I am on Day 3 of no tobacco cigarettes. When ever I get the urge, I take a hit off of my e-cig.So far so good. It hasn't been as difficult as I thought it would be. I think because I have the e-cig in my hand etc. makes the transition so much easier! I definately am going to utilize this thread through out the process. I think it will help me and might even help someone else that is trying to quit! So, Day 3, no tobacco cigs and doing great! -

Thank you so much! I tried Hypnotherapy and it didn't work on me. I feel I am ready to quit, and I think the e-cig is the route for me. I was just saying in a reply to southernsleever before, its the hand to mouth action that I know I will miss and want and now I have that! -

Not odd at all. Thats why I think this is going to work. I love smoking too and I have been doing that hand to mouth action for 31 years. -

I definately will keep you all posted. Thanks, M2G! I have tried numerous times in the past, and am good for a bit then fall off the wagon. But like I said, as long as I keep trying, one of these days, something is going to click. I'm thinking this is the ticket though. Ivy, unfortunately, I know me well enough to know that I won't keep up with that and it won't affect me into quitting LOL. Thanks for the encouragement and congratulations on NOT SMOKING! SouthernSleever if there is a 7/11 by you they have the starter kits for 15 bucks if not check out xhale 02 online they are 20.00. Much cheaper than most of the e-cigs you see online. I'm cheap, I won't pay 100-200 bucks for an e-cig LOL. My sister bought me the kit in Colorado and mailed it to me. She hasn't smoked in a year and a half. She still uses her e-cig at times of stress but with zero nicotine. She gets the comfort of the action but not the risks of the smoke and nicotine. Atleast thats what she told me LOL. So I'm going to see how it goes. Thanks Lisa! Gotta keep on trying! -
quitting smoking after vsg
Raine replied to Brockcrawford's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just posted about this, I am on day 2 of the e-cig. My sister sent it to me. She got the one from 7/11 and it was only 20 bucks for the starter kit. It works pretty good too. Good Luck! Hahaha we can be kick the smoking habit buds -
I am truly truly so happy for you. You have accomplished so much and have so much to be proud of and celebrate! Congratulations!
