    Belly fat

Belly fat sux! LOL. I am bigger in the middle than anywhere else, although now it is smaller than my boobs so I'm happy about that. I have read that the panni part is from yo yo dieting and losing a lot of weight fast. The only thing I can think of is crunches but you can only do so much of them lol.
  3. When I tried to quit smoking I gained 8lbs! I am down all 8 now and weigh in on Thursday, I "feel" I should be down another 3 by then.
  4. Thanks for sharing your story and I hope you have a speedy recovery. I had complications while I was in the hospital right after surgery but have been A/OK since. I think its important to share the good the bad and the ugly with everyone so that others can be well informed and know everything that can happen. Happy Weight Loss to you and a speedy recovery.

Looking for some words of wisdom

It took me a little while before I found a Protein drink that I liked. I have an Atkins Protein shake every morning and if I feel like I haven't gotten my daily dose so to speak I have another. They are 11oz w/15gm protein, 2net carbs. When I was 2 weeks out it took me about an hour to finish one. Dark chocolate is my favorite!

    How long

I do Jeet Kun Do (Bruce Lee's style of Martial Arts) and my doc gave me the clearance at one month post op, I did however wait until 6 weeks just to be safe. I always wanted to try out Krav Maga.
  7. Fantastic Pasquini! Ok so when you get to onederland we wanna see a pic with a HUGE a** grin, got it.

Thinking of Cancelling my Surgery.. HELP!!!

The pre op diet is all depending on your surgeon. Some surgeons don't even require it. I think you will be fine. Everyone has these fears but stay strong.
  11. I dont have real hunger and I am 3 1/2 months out. I do have massive amounts of head hunger that I fight on a daily basis. I know the difference now because I tested myself. I didn't eat anything all day once except my morning shake and nothing, nada from the belly (I still drank all my fluids though).
  12. I did it to get off of 20 pills a day. It got so I didn't know if I was feeling a side effect of a pill or if I was actually ill. It is a gift because now I am on 2 pills a day and I feel what normal is supposed to feel like again. Nothing in this world could be a greater gift than that aside from my husband and son.
  13. What you are going through is absolutely natural. I won't say everyone has gone through it the same way but I can say I did. The two weeks before my pre-op diet I ate what I wanted when I wanted. Not because I thought I would NEVER eat them again but because I knew it would be a while before I got to eat them again. The sleeve is a wonderful thing. Once I reach goal I will allow myself some of those pleasures just in smaller doses as I try to maintain. Reading the posts from people that are at goal and trying to maintain, they eat for the most part what they want to stay where they are at and not lose anymore weight. That is our ultimate goal, to eat like a normal person and not feel guilty or gain weight from over indulging like we have been.
  14. My manager was very very supportive of this for me if it would make me healthy. His mantra is health and family first, we can handle anything here without you for a little while. I told those people in my group and some outside. Others that have asked how I lost weight afterwards, I told them that I was on a high protein/low carb diet. I am sure that most people know about it because of office "gossip" but I don't care, honestly, if they want to know about it I have no problem telling them if they ask me straight out. If they ask and are rudely opinionated about it I have no problem telling them where to go also, and everyone knows that about me LOL.
  15. Linda, I just had an "AHAAA" moment when reading your last post. If she is considering WLS, then she is probably testing you. Testing to see if you can withstand the temptations that go along with everyday. Maybe she figures if you can then maybe she can too.

Did any of you ever wonder...

I am right there with you guys. At 3 weeks I stalled for 2 months. I lost a lot of my weight pre op so now it is not coming off as fast as I would like but as long as it does. My inches are way down and I like that a lot. I have more energy than I have had in years and years and I work out a minimum of 4x a week between weightlifting and fitness kickboxing and then adding walking when ever I can, today I did fitness kickboxing then later in the day walked about 3 miles. I still have my doubts that I won't lose anymore weight but that is probably an impossiblity considering how little I eat. I think its like someone said earlier, your body is just adjusting itself. I am also gaining a lot of muscle too, I can flex my arms and actually see the definition and shape of my bicep. When I am doing my leg exercises and walking, I see the outline of my thigh muscles completely. So I think that has a lot to do with the no weight loss too. Either way, I am going to keep doing what I am doing and one day I will be where I need to be. But it doesn't mean that I will never have my doubts mind you, my hubby hears them almost daily and he says I look amazing and then reminds me that last summer I couldn't even make it the store and back without help because I was out of breath and my lower back felt like it was going to explode. We have been on this roller coaster with our weight for most of our lives if not all of our lives, this is going to be no different because we programed ourselves to think we can't do it, but with the help of the sleeve, we now know that we can do it and get off that damn ride for good.
  20. Raise your hand if you have ever had to bend forward or look to the side when weighing yourself because BOB (big old belly) was in your way. Yeah, I thought so! Me too, except this morning when I got on the scale to do my daily weigh in, I looked straight down and saw my numbers. I tell ya, even though the numbers didn't reflect what I wanted, the action sent me over the moon and damned if I didn't work 10x harder in my Fitness Kickboxing class this morning. I think this is one of my favorite NSV or is it an SV LOL either way when I realized what I was doing I almost cried.
  21. Hmmm, not sure if I can handle it but for the greater good I will do my best
  22. That had to be something else I am so happy for you! BTW, your kid rocks, just saying.
  23. My self sexyness has nothing to do with my weight. Its my smile and my eyes. They both convey just how sexy I am feeling when I want it to be known . Now, that being said, now that most of my weight is gone, and I don't look like a line backer LOL, my neck, shoulders and coller bone. I love the way they look so defined. I have always had big shoulders but now I can appreciate them.
