This is where the thread for the before and after pics are : http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/forum/5-general-sleeve-surgery-discussion/ There is also a thread asking the guys to show their stuff, lol in the NSV part but they hardly post anything there either. -
Hi Guys and Gals, My most recent pics I feel great! I had such an awesome week between self realization, NSV's, my doc's appointment, and I lost 2 more pounds!

My doc said no coffee for 4 weeks then I got the go ahead. It doesn't bother my stomach at all. Just make sure you get all your water in for the day to stay hydrated.

Narcissistic, Attention ***** or Justified?
Raine replied to Paul11011's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There is nothing wrong with being happy and sharing it with others. For so long we are misreble because of our weight, and now that we are changing things to make our lives better, its almost like we feel guilty. Enjoy the pleasures of the new you. Share your story to who ever will listen, you may just be saving their life or someone in their life that they love! -
In the begining I couldn't gage when to stop and had that feeling, just be mindful of when you START to feel full, you will figure it all out, just takes time, and be careful if you do eat too much, you will throw it back up, happened to me with watermellon, wasn't thinking and just kept eating it and my new tummy said DONE! LOL and I was. Never did that again

Yup, skim milk did it to me almost everytime!

Week 2--What are you having
Raine replied to Sleeveme2011's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Full liquids for two weeks, then mushies for two weeks, then softs for one week, then what I could handle after that. -
I was told to wait til 4 weeks out to have tomatos.
-
In the first two weeks it took me two hours to finish an 11 oz Protein drink and I would sip Water constantly to try and get my liquids in. My doc says that the Protein shakes counts towards your liquid intake too. Some docs differ from what I have read though. It takes some time at this point you really just need to concentrate on staying hydrated. By the end of 3 weeks you should be able to get most if not all in. Good luck!

Should I keep the reservation??
Raine replied to staceybea's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Its different for everyone, at 6 weeks out I was able to eat 1/2 of my prime rib at my sisters wedding with a couple bits of string beans. I would keep it and see how you feel then. You'll be on vacation, enjoy yourself, just be careful, stop when you are full. Have fun! -

What are you drinking your water out of???
Raine replied to Sunny702's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We have a water crock at home, and ever so often when at work, I buy a dear park water 23oz with the flip top and re-fill it for days on end lol. I bring it everywhere with me, have one at home, on my desk at work and on my nightstand. In between I drink diet snapple peach iced tea, mmm love the stuff. -

Hey Texas, Here are my stats: Surgery date 27-Apr 193 27-May 178 tried to quit smoking 27-Jun 181 Said screw it and stopped trying lol 27-Ju l187 27-Aug 180 today-176 Over the past 4 months I have tried different things to try and speed up my weight loss, sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I am carb sensitive and if I eat just a little too much of them my sugars go up. If I didn't try to quit smoking and lost those two months instead of gained, I still don't think it would have been more than a total of 10lbs for the 2 months. So that would make my total loss since surgery 27lbs. Slow for some, yes, but basically I'm trying to tell you everyone is different and if you keep at it you will lose weight, even if its slow, you are still losing and winning!

I found an old video of me in a Martial Arts class from a couple of years ago. I couldn't upload the video but I took a couple of screenshots, they are blurry, but I was watching and oh boy, I now see a difference between then and now B and A.bmp
