Congratulations! Sounds like you are working your sleeve! Shoppiing is so much fun now isnt it?! I used to cry at the mall because nothing used to fit...now the problem is that I cant BUY everything that fits What is the MG of Biotin that you are taking? I am just over 5months out and my hair is falling like crazy although I'm taking 1 5,000 mg of biotin daily. Thanks for sharing your story! -

Have you tried Ggas x strips? They helped me and my doctor said it was ok to use them. You can find them in CVSor Walgreens. -

Get used to the staring...especially when you begin to drop all the weight... : ) people will not stop commenting and looking at you everyday. Unfortunately, sometimes people also want to see you fail so I like to make sure that people see me happy and healthy with my surgery even if I desperately want to go home and nap.....it just gives them less to talk about. God forgive you look a bit pale or sneeze, then everyone will say "that surgery has you weak...bla, bla, bla" ....Funny thing is that everyone in my office has gotten a cold or stomach virus in the last 6 months except for ME so I guess the surgery is not making me so weak after all : ) Show LOVE for your Sleeve and your decision, everyone around you will eventually love it ( want it) too!!!!!! Best of luck! Hang in there, it gets easier with time. Mini-Gil -
Congratulations! It will only get easier as long as you follow your doctors recommendations and not try to push your self into solids too quickly. Full liquids was easy for me, once I went into solids it took some adjustment to figure out my limits. My tip is to always use small food containers (4oz or 6 oz) so you do not over eat.... You will love the results!

Hello All, Well I am new to this post and wanted to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my experience with VSG now that I am almost 6 months out. I am 27 years old, started this journey at 196 lbs @5 feet tall. My surgery was on November 2, 2010 in Colombia with Dr. Carlos Sales Pucinni. The first 3 days were difficult but by day 4 I was fine and went back to work by day 7. I feel great, I have not been sick at all (except one time I tried having a shot at a party and it came right back up...... I now know small sips at a time only ) I have lost 66 lbs so far. This was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I am now a size 6 and it fits loose!!!!! I am pretty sure I will reach my goal of a size 4-120 lbs by June Right in time for the summer! In the past 2 months I have increased my exercise significantly to tone up after all the weight loss. I ran 3 5Ks and I joined cross fit training classes. I would have never done this before but now I love it because I can actually see the results. I can eat anything I want but in very small portions (2 chicken wings, 4 chicken nuggets, 1/2 chilli from Wendys, 6-8 oz of Soup, 3-4 oz of fish, 4oz of lasagna, 1/2 slice of cake, 1 cheese string etc). The only 1 negative thing is that I am loosing hair like crazy. It started falling during the 4th and 5th month post op. I am now taking a daily multi Vitamin plus a 5,000mg Biotin supplement, yet it is still falling... I am not sure what else to do but it is starting to worry me a bit. Pls let me know if you have any tips. Other than this, it has been an amazing experience and I would not change it for anything in the world. If you are considering VSG...go for it, you will not regret it! Good luck to you all!!! Mini-Gil
