  1. Good Evening All, Well it is 7 days to I get sleeved. I had my Pre-Op class yesterday. I have some concerns but I am not overly worried about. Here are some key points I am not actually sure about. The first is the catheter, I hate hate and hate them. I understand why I need it but how do you get up and walk with them never done that before. The next thing is the nasograstric tube I have never had one before and I am totally worried about it. Here is the last thing the x-ray the next morning they give this barium and you have to drink 2 cups, how in the world do you do that when your stomach can only hold so much. So there you have my concerns; but other than that I am okay with everything. As long as I do not have any pain, I am good. I am going to get my bedroom but together and just try to relax. I have lost 20 pounds on the liquid diet. But today I just do not feel like anything and I am not hungry, I wonder if that is just the nerves kicking in. I am not sure. Any advice would be great on my concerns would be great. I love this forum I read it everyday. Well thats all for now. Everyone have a nice evening. Connie

Everyone was having a good time eating and drinking. I think that is when I realized I was in mourning. My good friend came sat with me and let all the emotions come out. I think I need that cry and now I am still sad but everyday is getting better. May 4 here I come. I will be thinking about you. Connie

  6. I am on day 5, today is the first I noticed that I am cold and I am the person who has to have the a/c on 60 because I am always hot. I am hungry all the time, but I know in my heart I am doing the right thing for myself. The only I hate is being tired. Today has been one of those days all I wanted to do is sleep. I took a nice long nap this afternoon and it is around 9pm and I want to go back to bed. Tomorrow will be my biggest challenge. We belong to an airboat club and tomorrow is the big annual bbq and I have to go. I am going to take my liquids and be the strongest I can be. Wish me luck....I will not cheat....I will not cheat.....

    Hard Day

I am having a hard day today. This is day two of my liquid diet. I am having withdraws really bad. My head is read to explode. My primary doctor said the withdraws will go away in the next few days. Please tell me this is true. I goto school on Tuesdays and I needs something to hold me over. I am trying decaf iced coffee who would have thought that would taste so good. Can any one give me advice on how to strained cereal? It is on my diet sheet and I was just wondering. Enough of me rambling, thank goodness for this forum for support.
