I think that you should contact your doctor especially since you are coughing through out the night. I was told that is a definite sign that your band is to tight.
-
I have been doing hot coffee in the morning also cuz I heard that drinking something hot loosens up the band.
-
am I too tight or is this right finally?

I also forgot to add that I tend to burp a lot and I can feel liquids and food sitting in my chest for a few minutes. I went and got some pineapple juice to keep at home and at work, but I am assuming that this will get better. -

I was wondering the same thing about my fill. I got a fill on Monday and I am only able to get very little soft foods down however I am not hungry either. Have I reached my soft spot? Whenever I drink something it tends to sit in my throat and gurgle for a second but each day gets better. -
Please excuse the double posting!!! I have Cigna and they do cover fills. They used to require pre authorization every three months but luckily they stopped doing that. The fills are treated as a specialty visit/co-pay.

Congrats!!! I reached onderland also last month and it is terrific. By the way we have the same surgeon.
-
I also made it to ONEderland last Friday but unfortunetly I just gained a couple of pounds. My goal was to be there by this Friday so I have until Friday to get the pounds back off to still reach my goal. I was barely in ONEderland but it is a very amazing feeling and accomplishment. Congratulations and keep it up!!

My doctor advised between 1000-1200. I would not loose weight if I only ate 800 calories a day.
-
My surgeon told me that the relationship between the patient and surgeon is very important. You should find a new doctor and just start all over again. You will do even better this time.

I ate a cheeseburger at a picnic that I went to because there was nothing else that I wanted. It took forever for me to eat it and it was not really worth the work. I had been craving one and one was enough. I do longer have the desire for another one. If you are going to eat one with the bread I would recommend toasting the bun first.

I thought that it was just me. I have the forum saved as a favorite but when I tried to access it, I was sent to a search forum.

When going to a restaurant, what do you order?

When we go out to eat (my son and I) we always split the entree and he loves the fact that he will get the biggest portion. I have not had any problems eating chicken but I have a very hard time eating eggs. -
I stay between 1000-1200 but there are days when I don't eat more than 800. Every once in a while I will allow myself a high calorie day (1400-1500) but I follow it with a low calorie day. (800)

I am going to Disneyworld next month and I have a layover in Atlanta. I was supposed to get a fill at the end of this month but I have decided to delay it until I return. I am afraid of my band swelling plus I really want to enjoy my vacation, eat a little and not count calories.

Whatssup? How is it going? Any updates?

I had my surgery on 1/21 and I have lost a total of 46 pounds and this includes what I lost on the pre-op diet. -
I am doing very well also. I will ge betting my third fill at the end of the month but I already have restriction, especially in the morning. I can fill my chewable vitamin go down. I try not to eat more than 1200 calories a day and I definetly don't eat as much with each fill. I have learned that going out to eat can be a waste of time for me unless I share my food with someone.

I go there all the time to eat from their salad bar. I also like their turkey reuben.
-
I was told to eat from 1000-1200 calories a day and I have consistanly loss every week since having my surgery. Some days I have a hard time getting to 1000 especially when I eat fish.

I'm so tired of the question "Can you eat this?"
Joaquin replied to Skinny_Jill's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I hate people that ask " Should you be eating that?". They seem to think that since you have had the surgery you can't eat anything. -
yes I am very regular. I meant to say that I did not really worry about it because I knew that it was because of the weight loss/surgery.
-
I was banded on 1/21/08 and I was also late this month (2 weeks). I knew that it was due to the surgery so I did really worry about it.
-
I have to make a mental note to never eat while driving.

Can anyone eat bread? I know I can't!

I thought that I was able to eat anything until I had my second fill. I ate a piece of a hamburger bun and it got stuck. I drank water since I was out and that was the only thing that I had and it made it worse. I began to slime (my first time) and my chest hurt for hours after. It was horrible!! -
I just had my second fill and I just found out today that I have more restriction than I thought. Today was my first experience with sliming and it was horrible.
