    Just a little sugar...

You might want to try "ideal" sweetener It's Xylitol the same sweetener used in many sugar free gums now. It's good for your teeth and tastes pretty good IMO http://www.idealsweet.com/ It is VERY sweet so a tiny bit is more than enough (one packet is the sweetness equivelant to 2 ts of sugar)
  2. Taking a very good Calcium and Magnesium supplement helps as well. (1500 cal 500 mag) it kind of works like a muscle relaxant letting it all "slide" so to speak

    Food Quantity??

I'm currently on purees but even with that I can tell you that the heavier something is the less of it I can eat.
  4. I just started on pureed foods, found that I need to add stock or sauce to meats or they hurt me. Thinking that I'm going to need to make super moist meats a priority when cooking.
  5. How are you with spices and sauces. I can cook chicken about a 110 different ways You may need to invest in a few cook books and just experiment. I've cooked 6 chicken breasts 6 different way on the same day before LOL

    Low blood pressure

Because you're eating less you aren't getting as much sodium in as you normally would. I suggest that you begin salting your food to taste to help.

  9. Just a thought.... You might also want to go talk to an occupational therapist. You sound like you have Sensory Processing Disorder. I betcha there are other things in your enviroment that you avoid like the plague or some things have to be just right or they bug the heck out of you I have two kids with SPD 1 with Aspergers and 1 with Autism but SPD can show up without Autism spectrum disorders. Just a body that has trouble navigating sights sounds tastes textures etc. My six yr olds diet is similar to your list of foods to avoid. No solid meats (chicken nuggets and fish sticks are ok as are eggs if hes in the mood) his only fruits are applesauce and banannas no veggies. He lived an entire year on pb&js only american cheese or melted shredded cheese, bread Pasta and cold Cereal are his life blood
  10. 33 total from the start of this journey...only 11 since surgery.
  11. 1/8 cup vanilla greek yogurt 1/8 cup sugar free dark chocolate pudding (about half a snack pack cup) Mix, lick off spoon, MMMmmMMMm Probably not the best choice but I'm fairly certain I'm PMSing and felt like I needed something sweet to deal with it. Oh and that little day ending treat brought me to 854 calories 70 grams of Protein and 40 carbs for the day. It cracks me up that I am eating 700-900 calories per day and am completely satisfied
  12. Thank you! I have 4 munchkins that I am eager to run around and play with. That is my main motivator for being sleeved, to get to a weight where I can climb the jungle gyms and ride bikes and run races with them. I hate sitting on the sidelines while they have fun without me
  13. And felt completely stuffed. hehehehehhahahahaha That just cracks me up. Pre-sleeve I would have devoured 3 hard boiled eggs in a sitting, and now I eat half of one LOL

    Drain tube

My Surgeon used the drain to check for Amylase fluid. Which appears if there is a leak or infection.
  15. The only time I have ever heard anything remotely similar to that was during pregnancy when I was starting to develop high bp. I was told to eat HALF my body weight in grams of protein every day. High protein diets in pregnancy work to lower bp and keep your body from breaking down cells to feed itself.
  16. Anyone have advice for beating head hunger? I have a bad case of it tonight.
  17. Have you thought about cutting your Protein to 4 oz then filling up with soft cooked veggies?
  18. I think my stomach is smaller in the morning....does that make any sense? Because as the day goes on I can eat more at a time. Like I just drank an 11oz protein shake and 2 bites of a hot dog and a pinch of a bun chewing it to absolute death before getting that "Oh I'm full" feeling.
  19. So I just walked into my kitchen and saw a stick of butter on the counter that I used to make the kids toast this morning (forgot to put it away) I totally had the urge to get a spoon and attack it. Butter, plain butter. Wierd.
  20. The only time I felt nausea was when they would give me IV Pepcid....the Pepcid caused my saliva glands to work overtime attempting to drown me...like seriously shooting streams of spit out it was gross. My post surgery stuff was different than what people on here have shared. I had a catheter until late afternoon the next day. I was on a morphine pump for pain and an IV until I was discharged on day 2. So I was "mostly" comfortable. I slept essentially the entire first 24hours after surgery and most of the day after as well. Got up to walk with help 3 times on the day after and was doing 3 and 4 laps by the 2nd day after surgery. I have had no nausea since the Pepcid incidents. I feel good (I'm 12 days out now)
  21. Seriously. How do you keep carbs under 30grams? I hit 60grams today without trying....I think my downfall was 8oz of black bean Soup that was 14 carbs LOL. So do you count actual carbs or net carbs? Because that would make a huge difference.

How do you keep carbs so low?

Right now I'm still on liquids, so my choices are limited. Today I had B- Protein shake 6 carbs 17grams protein S- Kefir 10 carbs 6grams protein L- Black bean soup (blenderized the heck out of it) 80calories 14 grams carb 4 grams protein coffee drink mix 10carbs 2 protein S- Protein Shake 2 carbs 17grams protein D - Have yet to drink it but will be the same as Breakfast 6 carbs 17 grams protein plus some Peanut Butter for a change 6 carbs 8 protein. So that's a total of what 55 carbs? I could cut out the Kefir I suppose (it's essentially liquid yoghurt chock full of probiotics) And yeah eating a different soup or subbing a protein shake at lunch (blah) I think it will be a lot easier once I'm on actual foods

    Catholic Sleevers Please!

Do what you feel is right for you and your baby. I just wouldn't be doing my "job" if I didn't speak up FWIW I've had 4 c-sections all of them unwanted 2 of them unnecessary (the first two, the 2nd two I attempted to vbac labored to complete but poor positioning (one face presentation one persistant posterier) neither of which would move after many hours of pushing in many different positions making a repeat cesarean a prudent choice. Cesareans are great tools when used with prudence and care. Unfortunately in many parts of the world including the US they are used far too frequently. We currently have a 33% cesarean rate in the US more than double what the WHO says is safe and healthy for the average industrialized nation...we are seeing all sorts of fallout from the increased cesarean rate. Complications that used to be exceedingly rare are popping up more and more frequently, the maternal mortality rate is climbing, and post birth complications are increasing. It makes me Gah sorry on my birth junkie soap box again.
  25. This post brings back tons of memories I played varsity softball for 3 years in highschool, We'd get teased about the gobs and gobs of sunflower hulls we left behind in dugouts. hahaha It's a softball tradition I think
