12+ weeks out! How many Calories do you average per day?
apple-saucy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Curious what your average caloric intake is at 3 + months out. I feel like I'm eating a lot more calories than the average sleever. I average 800-1000 per day 20-40 grams of carbs 80-100grams of Protein...fats kind of a wild card. 30-60 grams per day... Is this ok? I'm still losing on average 4lbs per week though it's slowed down some as my food intake has increased. (was 4.75 lbs per week at first) Having a stall every 3wks or so for 7-10days. I'm trying not to freak or get over worried. I've lost 40lbs since surgery which also seems to be a bit on the slower side than average... -

HELP...glucose levels up???
apple-saucy replied to kids05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Diabetes diets arent' really about Sugar content. IT's about total CARBS. A packet of plain instant oatmeal has 16 carbs in it. The sugar free Maple and Brown sugar variety has 18 carbs in it. So you can see just because it's sugar free doesn't mean jack. I'd advise you to check your blood sugar fasting. If your fasting glucose is over 120 that indicates Diabetes. If it is over 100 but under 120 you may be looking at pre-diabetes that may resolve as you continue to lose weight and become more active. HTH> -

Sounds like low blood sugar. Could you drink some juice as soon as you get up and see if that helps? You could even keep it next to the bed so you don't have to go far. -
Well this is weird... and a little bit shocking!

I don't want to lose my T either!!! My Bio Mom had RnY in the 90's she went from an F cup to an A cup. I don't want an A CUP!!!!! I loved my Full C Small D's when I was thinner...hoping I get to keep them about that size. -
so i went shopping on Saturday for new under clothes and popped into another store nearby to try to find some capri's or shorts for the family vacation that is coming up in 2wks. I grabbed the 4x's and the 3x's and on a whim a 2x capri's I laughed at myself putting the 4x "Safe" pants on they were SO loose and baggy! I totally skipped over the 3x's and grabbed the 2x's...took a deep breath stepped in and began to pull them up fully expecting to have to stop at my thighs or do a shimmy wiggle booty skooch to get them over my hips. They fit. Not only do they fit. They are a bit baggy in the seat. I ran out and grabbed 2 more pairs of 2x bottoms in different brands/styles they ALL fit...they weren't baggy and they weren't flattering but they fit! I'm now the proud owner of 1 pair of slightly baggy 2x capris and 3 2x shirts to go with the capris. Next up was the plus size bra and underwear store. I got measured...46DD down from a 52DDD/F I bought 4 bras I also bought 22/24 size panties one size down (and that size I had to do the shimmy wiggle booty skooch to get up and then the elastic would threaten to snap ) They fit perfectly No more Shimmy Wiggle Booty Skooch in the dressing room!!!! All you ladies KNOW that move right??

Yep, the nurses will go raid Labor and Delivery for the lovely Net Undies and Granny Pads. -
I'm so annoyed! I gained 3lbs! I know it's rebound from being sick (kidney infection) But it's really disheartening to see :-( So back to the grind charting food (just in case I'm screwing myself somewhere along the line!) thinking about cutting all non-produce carbs, I have my 12wk followup in 10 days hoping to be back on track and losing well again.

Please Advise about odor
apple-saucy replied to SmokyMtnGal2011's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may try wiping your underarms with rubbing alcohol every 2-3 days to kill any bacteria. Also More deodorant is not the answer. The ingredients in antipersperant/deodorant can actually cause your body to increase production of oils and sweat. -

Here is my standard grocery list... Boneless Skinless chicken breasts Lean ground meat (I get Ground Turkey 93/7...please for the love of all that is holy do NOT buy Turkey in a Tube...blech blech blech) Finely shredded cheese Cottage cheese (I get the 2%) Greek Yogurt (0% fat any flavor and plain) Sour Cream eggs Light Mayo/Miracle Whip Ranch salad dressing powder packets (I mix a little with cottage cheese to eat straight up and yogurt or sour cream for dips) Peanut Butter (or any nut butter really) Canned veggies (cause sometimes they go down better than raw or frozen) Canned Beans V8/Cambells boxed Soups (I like the butternut and broccoli varieties Yum) No Salt Added Chicken Stock (I like Kitchen Basics unsalted, or Pacific Organic unsalted) Tuna (The foil packets of flavored tuna rock my socks off...also the Bumblee bee tuna Thai Chili is awesome!) Crackers (yeah carbs but sometimes I need something crunchy to eat with tuna!)

I had ceseareans one of which was under general. I can tell you that the pain after the VSG was a cake walk compared to a cesarean.
