I am 4 months out from my surgery and have lost 108lbs (yes great) but....I started having kidney stones the end of May, even had to have one surgerically removed. During the time with the stones I had severe diahrea and lots of vomiting, but now it won't stop! The vomitting is not food, its just saliva and burps but the diahrea is all day and night and gives me a terrible pain in my intestines. I don't have health insurance so running to the doctor isn't an option. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this, the vomiting really has me worried! I am following my diet the only thing I struggle getting in is the protien, I just can't eat very much at all! I was also on very high doses of pain killers for a long time for me and was wondering if it could have something to do with that or a type of withdrawls, because the only time I can get any of it to stop is if I take pain killers. Please anyone who can give me some insight would be greatly appriciated!

Hlep Info on WLS in Mexico
Tiffy replied to christina420's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I also had my surgery with Dr almanza at the Jerusalem clinic and had a great experience....and I was terrified to go to Mexico. I would be happy to give u any info on them, the clinic or the recovery house. I could also put u in touch with my coordinator, she was wonderful and gives u tons of info without pressuring you. My sister also had the surgery there about a year and half ago and looks amazing. I've already lost 62 lbs in ten weeks. Let me know if u need anything! -
I will be 9 weeks out in two days and havee lost 60lbs already! So hard to believe because that is such a huge number for me but this is really happening! And working!! My goal is to hit 100lbs down by 4th of july and I think I'm definitly on track to make that happen! My husband and I will be going back to texas the end of july to see all of our family and friends and none of them have seen me since before xmas and I want to blow them all away....and rub it in a few faces lol.....

Thank you everyone!! And congrats to all of u on your weightloss also!! This is an amazing tool! As far as how I've done it.....the first 6 weeks were hell with the post op diet but I think now it completly changed my tastebuds! I tried to cheat and get a piece of chocolate and with one bite realized I don't like chocolate anymore (which is awesome because that was my weakness)....also I tried to drink a soda and it also tasted terrible to me. So now if I have any sugar head hunger I go to fruit and it works! I have always been a very picky eater and wouldn't even try many different things and I always ate crap and fast food. Now I have cravings for things I've never even tried! I also have to remind myself I need to eat a lot of the time because I'm never actually hungry. I eat a lot of tuna with no bread, I keep the carbs to a minimum during the week but unusally on the weekend if we have a carb with dinner I will have a bite or two. Breakfast is usually a carnation breakfast drink and I only use reduced fat milk, lunch tuna or deli ham (no bread), dinner I usually only eat the meat and veggies of whatever I make for my family for dinner. I also ride bikes often and do P90x, I have to take it easy I find because I'm not eating enough calories to give me tons of to burn off. Any questions or suggestions on how I can do better or more?! I don't want u all to think I never do anything bad cause I have, and there have been many days where I have sat on the couch and was just too tired to do anything! There were days where we ended up eating out and I would try to choose the best thing for me but fast food is fast food. I hope this helps or at least gives u all some insight on what I've been doing or not doing lol..... Sophie good luck on ur appt in sept and u will do great! Best choice u could make!

I had surgery on March 2nd 2011 and yesterday morning I hit 50lbs down!! We celebrated by going on a nice long bike ride! I asked for a bike 2 years ago for Christmas and I got on it on Christmas to ride with our son and half way up the block it broke! I was soooo embarassed! My husband said the store just hadn't tightened everything up so we went and exchanged it but until now haven't even sat on it for fear my fat ass would break another bike!! Lol. And thanks to the sleeve I can now get on it and ride with my husband and our son! I'm so thankful for the sleeve and feel it has given me my life back!! We ended up going on 2 rides yesterday, we even stopped at a park and swung on the swings.....u know how long its been since I sat on a swing comfortably and wasn't worried about it breaking!! We swung as high as we could and I closed my eyes and let it sink it how happy I was, how happy our son was to have me participate and how happy my husband was to see me smile, a real smile! Now I still have a long way to go, but I will get there I'm sure of it now! I did have one question....I'm 6ft tall started out weighing 321 now down to 270 (today) is there anyone my height that's a woman in comparable stats because everyone on here is soooo much shorter than me lol....I mean my "ideal" weight to match up with standard BMI is between 170 TO 180......just wondering how I was doing at being such a larger build? Ok thanks for any encouragement!

Good luck on your surgery and if you have any questions feel free to ask....I'm excited to have a friend close to my height and same age!!! The best advice I can give you for right after surgery is walk walk walk, I didn't feel like it at all but it got rid of all the gas pains!!!

You look absolutly beautiful!!! What a huge change! Congrats! And thanks for the motivation! -
I have had TMJ for years and struggled with the pain but I can assure u it is not caused by weight loss...your bones remain the same regardless of the fat you carry in your face. This can be caused by some sort of trauma to ur jaw bone....(for me I was in high school and had my jaw dislocated during a game.) Stress playing a huge factor in it! There are many different reasons why this can happen, but most Dentists can't give you too much info or help besides ordering u a mouth gard.....but if u talk to an orthodontist surgeon they can give u must better advise! Hope this helps a little
