    Im having such a difficult time losing the 10 lbs for surgery...It's pretty sad. Andyone have any suggestions for diets or anything.

    So my surgeon says she doesnt know if the notes that my PCP documented for 6 months, are sufficient. She will be speaking to the financial coordinator to review them, and get back with me....Hopefully all is well, becuase i dont want anyhitng in my way!

    YEsterday went great, other then the fact that I get lost in Baltimore every time...UGHH. Psych eval went well and the support group was awesome.

    Psych eval, and support group tomorrow. After that I only have 1 more PCP appointmnet and 1 more support group. Looks like Ill be submitting everything to my insurance company on August 11th. Can't wait for approval, so I can schedule a surgery date!!!

    I am planning to be sleeved in September, and trying to think of all the questions I have no, so hopefully I can obtain some good advice. I am wondering how much time should I plan to take off from work? I am a banker so my job is laid back, and I basically sit at my desk all day. My surgeon recomended taking off 4 weeks, which is just imposiible for me. I was hoping to be back to work within 10 days....Any input would be appreciated!

    So dont get me wrong, I am so excited to have this surgery, but I dont deal with pain or being sick very well. How horrible was it like the 1st week post op? I am not going to back out of this, I already have my mind made up. Just want to prepare myself.

    So you waited 2 weeks prior to start dieting? My doctor says I Hve to lose 10-20 lbs before surgery, so My liver will shrink down and make surgery easier. I am going on vacation july 9-16th, so I was thinking I'll eat whatever I want until I get back. Then I will have to start cutting back. And within the last few weeks before surgery I'll go on a simialr diet as you. I am not planning to have my surgery til the end of August, or eraly Spetember. Just trying to plan ahead.     I worry about feeling sick. I hate being nauseous. Are you planning to documnet your whole journey on yout ube? I've watched a few youtube VS journeys that have been very helpful. Thanks for the response. Good luck to you!

    See I think nausea worries me just as much as pain. I hate to feel sick. Wow so you didnt have to take much time off work. That was another oen of my concerns. I was only planning on taking 7-10 days off of work. My surgeon suggested 4 weeks, but I thought that was a little much. I definitley can't afford to take off of work that long. A lot of people are saying a week or two.

    This will be my first surgery as well, so I guess thats the scary part. I sleep on my stomach so that will be tough, but Im sure I can handle it. I have heard gas pains are pretty bad. Thanks for the response.

    So, my surgeon wants me to lose 10-20 lbs before surgery. I am planning on having my surgery in September, but I do not have a scheduled surgery date yet. I have not started dieting yet. I have been going to my PCP for 4 months now, as a pre-req. for surgery. We have casualy discussed diet, but nothing major. I am going on Vacation July 9th-July 16th. In my mind I am thinking I will continue to eat as I want until I get back from vacation, then I will go into hardcore dieting. I know this is probably not a good plan....Anybody in the same situation...any advice? -Cassie
