Hi...This is probably posted somewhere and I just missed it- 1st-- what causes a band to slip? 2nd--what the are symptoms of a slipped band? 3rd --how do they fix it (obviously surgery) but are there other options? thanks so much!!

I just got my 1st fill today. My port area is now swollen and bruised (almost looks like purple cottage cheese under my skin--sorry that was so graphic!) Have a call into my dr. just to be on the safe side...has anyone had this reaction after a fill? Thanks!!:eek:

How long does the gas last? I feel like I'm always walking around needing to burp or heaven forbide...fart!! i took some Gas x today and went for a walk...I feel a little better. I'm ready to EAT! I am sooo hungry (and by that I mean mentally hungry?!) for popcorn and white cake with white, frosting and coconut (picture a pepperidge farm cake)..ahhhhhhhh -

I had my surgery on Monday 4/9-- I felt the same way!! I was pretty sure I would explode;) It got better by Thursday. Are you feeling hungry? I am so full--I'm having a hard time drinking my protein shakes. -

I got banded on Monday and feel the same way. Man do I feel STUFFED all the time. I can't get in the 3 protein shakes...but I figure 2 shakes- 20g protein each plus the milk equals about 60 grams of protein so I should be ok. It's really hard to believe that I could go from non stop eating to be sooooo full from eating almost nothing!!! -

I was worried about this but got banded on Monday (4/9). I feel sore right now...but I can't 'feel' the port at all!! -

DH and I were banded on Monday 4/9. Feeling pretty good. I am still feeling sore and uncomfortably (sp?) after eating. Glad that the gas is gone...man was that bad!!! How much did you lose right after surgery? just realized this is the 1st 24 hrs after surgery thread...but maybe some could still help me:)
