I have Federal BCBS. It took about three weeks because the Dr. office was telling me something altogether different than what my plan consist of. I sent BCBS a letter and was approved in a day. I was banned January 17 and down 70 lbs. A ride worth taking. Good luck to all who are ready to accept the challenge. It was well worth the dive.

Hey I've made my own crab cakes and haven't had any problem with being able to digest them or worry about whats in them. I simply purchase a container of lump crab meat and make it myself.

I didn't have any problems with constipation during my liquids phase. You may want to add some FiberSure to your drink if you have concerns, but I don't think you should have any. If you have your vitmain, start them now so they will be in your system. Centrum chewable or ActiveCal chewable from GNC.

I have not hear of the Isopure until reading it here, but I found some PureProtein (35gm) at GNC. It is really good and they have it on special with your GNC card. I rather have it than Atkins and Slimfast gives me too much gas, so I've given up on it. I go in the morning for my first check-up and will keep you guys posted. I've basically stick with protein drinks for my three meal thus far. Be Bless Debra

Guys I am having a time with the staff in my Dr. office. They keep telling me that federal BCBS has changed its requirement and now require patients to wait six months after consultation, eval, labs and all the other before you are able to have surgery. I want to know if anyone else is having that problem. I had hoped to have my surgery before the year was out, but now I am getting different answers from the Dr. office and federal BCBS and sort of changing my mind about the surgery. If anyone else is having the same problem, please let me know. Georgia Peach

Hi All Thanks for the shopping list information and what I should expect after surgery. I am getting the jitters as I get closer to time for my surgery. I will find out on Oct. 24th when the day will be. I know I want it before Thanksgiving. If I have to be tested, it may as well be around a holiday. Continue to pray my strength.

I have been fighting with federal bc/bs for a year and a half trying to get them to approve me for lapband surgery. They have approved me for the bypass surgery, but I don't that one. If any of you have had to submit a letter to bc/bs to encourgae them to approve the lapband, please send me a sample of your letter. I am just about at the end of my wits with them. thanks edna:think

Hey I am sort of have the same problems with bc/bs, but I understand if I submit a letter to them letting them know how important it is for me to have the surgery, they will more than likely approve. I problem is, I need a sample letter from someone who has written a letter to the insurance co. requesting the lab-band surgery and how important it is to my health. :clap2:
