    Does anyone want to start a list of stuff to buy for after surgery & stuff for the hospital (for those of us that have to stay over) that you have heard of? I had my nutrition appt. yesterday. We did not sample anything. She did show us empty boxes. Yea! Whatever......... What shakes for after surgery did y'all like the flavor of (where do you get them also)? She said to add whey protein in the shakes at least once a day, or to drink isopure 8oz. a day from GNC. She is kind of goofy and straight out of school. Was not sure about what exactly what to buy? Wenjea-I started my pre-op today. Feel pretty good so far. Then again it is only 4:30 the first day.............I am getting so excited! How are you doing? Did you start your pre-op yet?

    A list of all the reasons I would like to lose 100 lbs. 1. to be able to bend over and tie my shoes and breathe at the same time 2. to lose my apron (if you know what I mean, say Amen) 3. to stop giving Lane Bryant so much money 4. to be active with my kids 5. to feel like being more "active" with my husband 6. to set a better example for my kids 7. to not always be the largest person in the room 8. so all of my pant will no longer have those lovely worn spots where my thighs rub 9. To wear a skirt and not get a rash on my thighs 10. to be able to cross my legs 11. to be able to pass by someone and not feel like my huge @ss is gonna knock them over 12. to wear "cute" undies again... shop at Victoria's Secret again! (no more granny panties) 13. so I don't have to suck my stomach in all the time. 14. So I won't have to constantly be re-arranging my clothes to make sure all of my lumps and bumps are covered appropriately. 15. so I can fit comfortably in an airplane seat 16. So I won't have to wear a full-length trench coat to the beach (exaggeration, but you get what I mean) 17. So when I want to walk at lunch with the girls, I can keep up with them and not feel self-conscsious because I'm breathing heavier than they are. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->18. So I can give myself a pedicure! 19. not be ashamed to be in a FULL LENGTH picture! 20. So I can ride roller coasters. 21. To maybe be able to wear a sexy nightie for my hubbie and look good in it..... 22. To be able to wear a pair of jeans that zip and not be pull-ons 23. So I will be willing to have my picture taken again. 24. Dance again, it wears me out right now. 25. Play with my children till I can't play anymore. 26. Scuba Dive, waterski, volleyball, hiking 27. Look cute in clothes. 28. Be more outgoing and confident. 29. Be comfortable with this body to show it off a little. 30. Have a glamour shots session. 31. Lay out on the boat in a bikini while cruising the lake. 32. I want to be able to tuck in a shirt again....I know its not the style but I still would like to have the option. 33. I want to walk up stairs and be able to talk when I get to the top. 34. I want to live long enough to drive my kids crazy and spoil the grandkids! 35. Doing things with my kids without guilt or worry that I will injure myself or get too tired. 44. In case of emergency, I want to be able to go into a normal sized clothing store and buy whatever I need. And one more - 49. When I go on vacation and forget to pack something, again to be able to go into a store and not have to worry if they will have something in my size! 50. I want to be able to go clothes shopping without getting depressed. I want to be able to ride Roller Coasters with my family. 51. To not freak out when the waiter wants to put you in a booth. Am I gonna fit?!? 52. All the good clearance clothes are in small sizes.<!-- / message --> 53. To not be the fat one in all family pictures. 54. To not be so stinkin tired and achy all of the time. 55. To have a lap for my daughter to sit in again! <!-- / message --><!-- sig --> 56. To get into and out of a canoe or kayak gracefully and without fear of sinking the vessel! 57. To sit in a chair with arms and not fear it will come with when you stand up! 58. To quit having to stretch my shirt over my knees while squatting, just so it hangs a little looser (and then have trouble getting back up!) 59. So the top of my pants stop flipping over, because my belly is so big and lops over the top. 60. So the bed will stop making noise when I get in. 61. So I can stop putting powder under my "apron" everyday. 62. I tried not to but we were very busy with the reasons. I had my nutrition appt. today. I start the diet tomorrow. I am excited and scared at the same time. All my close friends are praying for me and also giving up something for me from now until I get home from the hospital. One of them is giving up sweets, one fried foods, one of them coffee. Did I mention all my friends are skinny? They are so supportive! I am so blessed!

    I love the chart! There are so many of us. This is going to be good. I met someone tonight at the scrapbook store that had bypass two weeks ago from my doctors partner. She had nothing but good to say about it. I told her I was doing the band. She said to make sure and set a timer to be sure and drink the water they tell us to. I think it is an ounce every 15 minutes? Not quite sure how that will go over with me at the gym?? I was think of making a journal to jot down my thoughts and emotions every day or so. I was going to put fat pictures in it to keep me motivated. As well as clippings from ads of the outfits I would like to wear. A list of all the reasons I would like to lose 100lbs. I meet with the nutricionist on tuesday to start mine. I plan on painting a few rooms in my house to keep myself busy. Heck as much as I think about food, maybe I will paint the whole house!

    You are going to be great Wenjea! Better than that, when all of this is over you will look great! I am trying to make more of all our meals now so I can freeze them for Hubby and the three kids for after surgery. I know I will not be able to be around food for a while. I seriourly could see myself crying through some meals at first...........I have to do no bread, no sugar for the two weeks before. Then luquids for 3 weeks after, then mushies for 2 weeks. Then we go on vacation the week after I get to go on solids. Pray for me, I know that will be tough! I am starting to mourn the loss of my friend, food. I just keep telling myself: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

    I know what you mean about watching the fill and being nervous. I watched the actual surgery on the orlive link last night. Should not have done that!!! However if I had seen one on a c-section I would have probably crapped my pants too, and I have had two of those. I am sure this is a lot easier to recover from than a c-section. I want lots of stories of everyones experiences as we start getting banded in a week! Welcome poohlvr! I am so glad your aunt got approved. I hope all goes well with your insurance company!     I am getting really excited! My date is the 17th in Dallas. I have a bit longer to wait than the rest of you. Can someone tell me how to set up my ticker. It keeps telling me it has failed..........I start my pre-op diet of no sugar or bread on the 2nd. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels, right?

    This is my first time on this website. Mine is scheduled for May 17th @ UT Southwestern. Very Excited! A little nervous about the liquid diet............Everyone tells me that will be the last thing on my mind at that point. It is hard to imagine now........
