    Finally.....

Awesome!!!! Congrats, i can't wait to see those #'s!! :hippie: Kelly
  2. You are in the dreaded 3 wk stall and even though we all read it here constantly, it seems we're still not prepared for it. It really plays with our minds. Dont stress out too much and try to distract yourself from watching the scales so closely. When you say you are feeling bad, what exactly do you mean? Tired and no energy? Pain? I hope you feel more like yourself soon. Keep getting the fluid and protein in, you're gonna do fine! Kelly
  3. I agree with Sauceda in Monterrey. I've been seeing his name for yrs now on OH and have researched him myself. Seems good and very reasonably priced and highly recommended by his patients and other surgeons. Kelly

    Drum Roll PLEASE

Wow, congrats!! What an accomplishment!! So happy for you!! :hippie: Kelly
  5. For $ reasons, I too have skipped refreshments at the movies and ate cheaper before or after. But if you can't manage that for some reason, then bottled water or your choice of no cal bottled drink, and as others have said, peanuts, protein bar, cashews, almonds, beef jerky, slim jim, pork skins, string cheese, etc. This would all depend how far post-op you are too. Cheap flights

Hi Kerry, did Priceline give you the option of nonstop on the name your own price? I don't want layovers especially back home, but price is almost double. Kelly

10 days post op over the moon

Congrats!! You are doing terrific! It's good to hear you're healing so quickly and the lbs are melting right off!! You have probably one of the best surgeons with lots of experience too. So happy for you.
  8. My heart is breaking for the loss and devastation of all who were affected by the tornadoes in the South. I am very blessed to be alive and still have a home. So many were not as fortunate.

    GLAD I DID IT

Congrats!! So glad recovery is going so well! Just don't lift anything. Can't wait to be post op also. Kelly
  18. I know it's got to be really rough, especially smelling it on top of watching them eat. Can you go somewhere else? Maybe walking while you sip on a protein shake or broth? Sit in your car or a different room from them and read? Window shopping and making future plans of all the great smaller size clothes you will be in soon. Anything that can make you feel less deprived. Focus on why you're doing this. Keep your eye on the prize you are doing great!!! Kelly
  19. I got my Biotin 5000 mcg at WalMart for around $8 I think. I am pre-op but I've been losing hair for a few yrs so I thought I should try to do something now
  20. Wow, so close to the 1's!! That's awesome. I hope you make it to Onederland soon! Kelly
  21. I'm sorry you're feeling bad! Sending you positive healing energy. Kelly
  22. In the US, not a lot of surgeons do the sleeve or have done that many. I would find out the complication/mortality rate of the dr, not just with the sleeve but their other wls. If they have done hundreds or thousands of others with little complications and/or deaths related to surgical error, then you will most likely be fine. The RNY is a much more invasive procedure, with staples and rerouting of the intestines. If they have a good reputation doing those I would say they are a skilled surgeon. But regardless, you have to feel comfortable with your surgeon. Good luck! Kelly
  23. Congats, I'm so happy and excited that tomorrow is your big day!!!! Great post, i can relate to so much of it. This is some trip we're all on here and I'm glad we all have each other to lean on. Kelly
  24. Congrats on your success thus far! I believe it's all a learning process. Sounds like you're able to see the positives aa well as the negatives, and that's definitely a challenge. Good luck on reaching your goal!! You're over half way there!! Kelly
  25. Everyone is different on this, but I too wanted to have as much of a headstart on my losing as possible. Any weight you lose pre-op is just that much less you have to lose post-op. :hippie: Kelly
