    Update on me

Keeping my fingers crossed that you hear good news very soon!!
  4. I went to Dr Kelly also. I had such an easy surgery and recovery it still amazes me. No pain, no nausea, up and walking around almost immediately. Dr Kelly is very skilled and experienced. Trish is great. I keep in touch with them now too. My sister went with me and cannot believe how well i did. We may be going back later so she can be sleeved by Dr Kelly too. I had a wonderful experience!!
  5. Congrats on 45 lbs gone!! You are doing fabulous, AND having fun and living your life. Sounds awesome to me!! Way to go! :cheer2: Kelly

    still stalling

I was sleeved 5/16, and the scale isn't moving right now, but I expected the dreaded 3 wk stall, because I had read so much about it. It would have been great to skip it altogether though. I want the scales to move, but I have stopped weighing for now, to keep from getting too worried. I am already in smaller clothes, my rings are almost falling off, and my car feels too big when I get in it, because I am shrinking. I keep trying to adjust the seat and steering wheel lol. I had started losing weight pre-op, and had a 6 month stall after losing 35 lbs, so I can handle stalls somewhat, but hope since surgery, they won't last that long. Try to focus on measurements, clothes sizes, rings, other ways of measuring success. Stalls are inevitably going to be a part of our journey, especially when we have a good bit to lose. Don't get disheartened, it will come off eventually!!

    Lost 37lbs and STUCK!

The bread, even being wheat, could be the problem. Also fruit juice is high in natural sugar. Make sure you're getting in minimums on protein and water/non-calorie liquid. I bet you may be losing inches. Good luck!!

  24. Day 5 of your pre-op??? The pre-op is by far the hardest part to me!! I totally sympathize! Are you getting to have protein drinks? Popsicles really helped me. Stay strong!! It's worth it!

    Help I can't eat anything!!

I agree with taking the ppi at bedtime. I take 2 (40 mg) every night. Also not going without eating for too long. Since I'm not really hungry, I set my timer on my phone for every 2 hrs to remind me to eat a small meal or snack. This is also helping me get in most of my protein in as of yesterday. And I am not quite a month out yet. I have not had any nausea or throwing up yet. I have an 34f bougie and I don't think I had a lot of swelling cuz I did pretty good with liquids as soon as I was cleared after my leak test. I get the Atkins RTD shakes, usually in Vanilla at Walmart. No strong protein taste and its a mild flavor, not too strong or sickening sweet. They have 15g protein. Good luck!!
