  2. Congrats on being sleeved!! ThAnk you for sharing the details of your experience. I hope you have a speedy fecovery, so happy for you.
  3. I think Dr Rodriquez does it, but down pymt was like $3500, which is about half the total cost. Seems like I remember someone mentioning Dr Almanza too, but I am not sure. Good luck!!
  4. I'm sorry you're having a rough time. At 4 wks some of the swelling should be down but I have heard can take up to 6 wks. It can be overwhelming. Are you on a PPI/acid reducer? Sometimes acid can feel like gnawing hunger. It can also cause nausea. Is your urine dark? That is a sign of dehydration, and nuasea can also be a symptom of dehydration. I highly recommend the PPI it can make such a big difference. I hope you feel better soon. If not please call your surgeon.

    Feeling Sorry for Myself

There is also Zumba for Wii, but I haven't tried it. I tried Just Dance 2 for Wii and I love it. I've also been doing Turbo Jam on dvd. Its a little slower lower impact than Tae Bo so I can keep up easier. Its way too hot to do anything outside here.
  16. I would usually go ahead and count all of what i measured cuz i would normally finish it later. I use myfitnesspal app on my iphone. Its free, and is also a website you can use on the pc as well. I like using the app on phone cuz i always have it with me and it has a huge food database.

Should this still hurt this much?

I had a soreness in my tummy as if I had done a lot of sit ups, until they removed my drain on day 3. Then as soon as it was gone, that was relieved for the most part. I see a lot of people with more pain on the left side which is said to be because its where tummy is pulled out. I hope it gets better soon!!

    Soooo encouraged!

Congrats, so happy you are having an easy recovery!! I have had the same experience. I haven't had a moment of regret at all, I love my sleeve! I feel very grateful for being blessed with this tool.
  20. I'm so sorry yoou are having these probems. I've been very fortunate so far, no problems with nausea. Everything I have tried has gone down pretty good. I keep thinking fish sounds good, like my body is craving it, but when I prepare something I suddenly don't want it. It just doesn't sound good anymore. I can do tuna salad ok. My favorite pre and post op is chicken, and I am able to eat it just fine. As long as its not dry. If you had a twist in ur sleeve, it would definitely cause issues, i hope they are able to repair that. I look forward to updates on how you're doing.
  21. Woohoo!!! That is so wonderful!!!! You GO girl! :cheer2:

    very sick!

Please seek medical counsel, this sounds very wrong and alarming. Don't put if off, they need to run tests and do a scope. It does sound like it could be a stricture or blockage, but it could be anything, I'm sorry you are having these issues, and I am hoping they can get it resolved for you soon.
  23. Dr Kelly keeps his patients in the hospital for 3 days. Then you are released, and included in his price you are then allowed to stay in a hotel, just as a courteous gesture to allow you to rest another couple days before traveling/flying home. Everyone that I know used the hotel, after their full stay in the hospital. I have added my entire detailed experience in Tijuana MX in the "about me" section of my profile on this website. At the time I did my research, and when I booked my flight, complication rates among the most experienced MX surgeons were fairly equal, but I chose Dr Kelly for his trauma training and # of sleeves performed, with a low complication rate. The savings of $3000 was just icing on the cake! I hope to have a tummy tuck later and that will definitely cover a lot of the cost. I had an absolutely great experience, no pain, a little gas immediately after surgery which was quickly controlled by meds, no nausea or throwing up. Congrats to you for a successfull surgery, I am happy you are doing well!! but I just wanted to correct the info on the aftercare house thing. I hope you have a speedy recovery!
  24. I was sleeved 5/16/2011. Tomorrow will be 2 months, and I am just getting around to posting this here, even though I've had most of it typed in a notepad on my pc. I wasn't sure if all of it would fit here, so I put it in my "about me" section of my profile. Please feel free to read it, especially if you are considering Dr Kelly and wonder how things are and how things went for me personally. I also posted a few pics of the hospital in my gallery if you'd like to see them. If you have any questions about anything, please send me a msg or post a reply here.
