Absolutely!! I struggle with self doubt all the time, especially during the longer stalls. I have to constantly remind myself there are other measures of my success and trying to learn patience. Its not one of my better virtues.

A lot of it has to do with self-esteem and self love. And from what you said about your parents, you are seeking their approval and love, which of course we all want and need. I can totally relate to this!! No matter what they say or how much they judge you or criticize you, they still love you. Some people just don't know how to communicate this properly. Just work on loving yourself and taking care of yourself. I know this is harder than it sounds and it may require therapy. I know for me, I don't think I actually felt I was worth it. Like I somehow didn't deserve to be happy anf healthy. I was always putting everyones needs or wants ahead of my own and actually thought it was a good thing and it made me a good person. But I do deserve to be happy and healthy, and so do you!! Take care of yourself!

In the beginning especially acid can be a problem. You can check with your dr, but a lot of then prescribe these meds immediately post op.

Congrats!!! You have done amazingly well!! Do you mind sharing what's working well for you in regards to how much in calories, protein, carbs, water, exercise you have done to aid in your success? It would help a lot of us so much, when you get the time. Way to rock your sleeve!

The anesthesioligist was tapping my arm trying to wake me up and I yelled at him OW!!!! Stop it!!!! Haha i don't even remember doing it but he and my sis got a chuckle out of it.

Thw only thing I've seen about this is it is a risk of the surgery itself. I have read of 1 or 2 people experiencing this immediately post-op. One of them also had a leak. I don't think this is a concern further out. You are right, you have researched way more than he has. He shouldn't be putting anxiety or fear of a complication into his patients minds. WLS is becoming more and more popular, seems there should be more education to the general medical community.

Sounds like you had a blast! That 1.5 lb gain should come off easily and quickly. Don't sweat it!

A lot of us go through this right before surgery, no matter how confident we are in our decision. I know I got so scared the wk before. It's completely natural. Everything went better for me than expected. You're gonna do great. *hugs*

I've seen people do this with greek yogurt too. Gives it a little substance and increases protein. I think it would still be full liquid.

Amen, me too!! This is such a learning process, I am amazed at how the sleeve works its magic even when we don't realize it.
