Ok I am 3 months post op and have lost about 40 pounds. Lately, I have started craving sweets and today I just ate a just ate an entire Skinny Cow Heavenly Peanut Butter Crisp (110 calories) for lunch along with 3 bites of rice. I know these are horrible foods to be eating but, I am craving them terribly. I am scared because should I be able to eat a whole crisp (package weight 0.77 oz)? Last night I ate a whole piece of toast with a piece of turkey breask on it. Is this typical? I know I should be measuring my food but I just get so busy and lazy. Any tricks to help eye ball the food measurements?

I like Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal. It doesn't have as much sugar and I usually add a few walnuts for protein. I eat about 1/4-1/2 cup of this which really fills me up. I can make it at work too. -

I am 10 weeks out and struggling with the same issues. Yesterday I ate cookies and icecream. I feel like it is ok because I wont be able to eat alot of it. I vowed to do better starting today.

Ok, I am 10 weeks post op and had to have a TB PPD skin test at work. The skin test came back positive with a size of 11mm. They sent me for a chest xray which looked fine. They said because of my surgery I am at a higher risk of developing active TB and should take NINE months worth of the the antibiotic. My issue is my doctor never mentioned that I would be at a higher risk has anyone else heard this?

I had to get my for work. If you think you are at risk then YES.

Very informative article. I just wish my doc had mentioned the increased risk. I am not looking forward to NINE months of antibiotic treatment.

I have had a septoplasty and Hystarectomy and I have had hair loss after each surgery. I think it has something to do with the anesthesia. Not sure, I just heard that from somewhere.

fever on the day of surgery

call your doctor. You dont want to mess around with your health. -
At my heaviest I weighed 189. Now I am 6 weeks post op at 160. My only issue is the weakness and tired feeling I have around 6 pm at night. I try to mix chocolate whey Protein in low fat choc milk every morning to make sure I am getting enough protein. I usually get home from work around 5:15 and I am hungry however, when I try to eat I end up eating too fast and throwing part of it back up. I am trying to get all my liquids in but usually fall short with about 40 ounces in on a good day. My doctor says I am fine but, I feel like something is off. My doc has seen me twice since the surgery but no blood work or anything just checked my blood pressure and that was it. Should I be concerned?
