  1. I am 3 1/2 months post op. I have had this nagging frequent cough since I started smooshy foods. I am on Nexium daily so I don't think it is due to reflux. I talked to my surgeon about it and he doesn't seem too concerned that it was surgery related. I went to an ENT, because I feel the cough from my throat not lungs. He looked at my vocal cords thinking that would be the reason. Nope. Vocal cords are fine. I do not have asthma or any other reason to be coughing. Anyone else have this issue??
  2. I was sleeved Jan. 26,2011. I have been very faithful to my post op diet... I am getting all my protein requirements and water intake. I have not eaten any carbs ( breads, potatoes, pasta etc) I have only lost 20 lbs and 10 of that was during my pre op diet. I haven't lost any weight in a week. I am taking in about 600-800 calories daily. I try to walk almost everyday for about 30 minutes. So what gives?!? I am very frustrated and feel so disappointed! Can anyone tell me what to tweak?

    Surgeons in Dallas Area

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Clayton Frenzel in Dallas. He is a certified bariatric surgeon AND a Plastic Surgeon. He goes above and beyond for his patients. He did my sleeve on January 26, 2011. He is an incredible surgeon that is there for his patients all the way... If plastic surgery is needed after I lose all my weight, how great is it that HE can do that. He is already familiar with me and my medical history!
  5. Sleeved 1/26/2011 I am a nurse and pt. Of Dr. Clayton Frenzel. He is an excellent doctor and makes you feel like you are his only patient. He is very caring and concerned with your overall well-being. I thought Forest Park was a very nice facility. I too had some issues with one night nurse. My day nurse took out my iv early in the day because it was leaking. My night nurse kept coming in trying to give me IV meds. Dr. Frenzel told day nurse there was no need to start a new IV. The night nurse kept insisting that he had to start a new line. Come to find out (from charge nurse) that night was his first "day on the job" and he was fresh out of nursing school. Anyway he was overwhelmed with the 3 patients that he had so they took away two ( I was one of the two). I just kept thinking "what if I wasn't a nurse or did not have medical knowledge??" he would have given me several meds that were unnecessary and would have started my IV again. BUT I was a "green" nurse at one time so I can't say too many bad things. My overall experience was positive!
