I got the lap-band in mexico in feb or 2006, i lost 80 lbs with it in about 7 months but the last few yrs have been hell..At times i was unable to keep liquid down.. softs foods were a life for me for the past 2 or so yrs... i have .05 in my band and am still getting pain and sickness so its now time to remove this band and get the gastric sleeve. I will be going in about an hr to see Dr. almanza he did my 17 yr olds revision last july and she loves her new life without the band..she has lost about 90lbs to date, and loves buying new clothes once again..
