  1. I am 10 days post op and can sleep on my stomach again. It's wonderful! The first 3-4 nights were difficult, not being able to get comfortable, getting up to the restroom, etc. But that has passed.
  2. I know the feeling, I just had my first egg today ( 9 days out) and could only eat half. And that took 30 minutes. But it was so yummy!

Congrats! That is impressive. I am 8 days today and down about 8 pounds from day of surgery. What are you able to eat at this point? Keep up the good work!

    Sleeved 2 days ago

I was sleeved the 26th also, first case of the day, so I was on the table at 7:30. I think in recovery by 10, and not to my room till 4:00pm. That sucked! Laying on that stretcher for that long. I ended up with bad gas pains in my chest and back area. But had zero pain from the surgical sites. Walked and sipped through the night, in the am. Went for my swallow, beyond disgusting! It was fine, got back to the room to get ready to go home and started vomiting. A lot! So they restarted my IV and there I sat til they sent me home yesterday. I feel great but it's hard to get all those fluids in. And I am with you any bit of information good or bad is helpful, because everyone has different experiences. Good luck on continued success.

Well, I guess my story isn't much different than anyone else's. I have lurked here for a bit, everyones story is amazing, and inspiring. I have lost the same 50 or so pounds a dozen times. I considered this years ago but Bypass was not for me. I then considered the band, but insurance would not pay. So the waiting and dieting began. (with no long term success). I started researching again last year about the band when I came across info on the sleeve. I knew right then it was for me. I made the appointment with the surgeon, went, only to be told insurance didn't cover the sleeve, needless to say I left defeated. Our insurance changed in January, I made a phone call that would "finally" begin my journey. I did everything by the book for 3 months, my info was sent to Aetna and 3 days later got approved!!! It took awhile to get a surgery date but it all worked out and I am scheduled for Tuesday the 26! I cannot wait! I am more anxious about the "prep" tomorrow, than surgery. But I have faith and trust in my doctor. Y'all are so encouraging to everyone, I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Sorry about the insurance thing, maybe it will change soon. I was actually thinking about going to Mexico, but got very lucky when our insurance changed in January.

Magnesium citrate. When the instructions say, stay close to a restroom. I am a little leery. Nothing major, just me.
