That is very interesting, and I am going to try and up my fluid intake as well, Its been a year since my surgery and I have lost about 65 pounds and have definatly been stalled sinced the holidays.. and its been very depressing... my goal is stop feeling down and do something about it and up my exercise and fluids and keep chugging away! Best of luck to you and thanks for the tip! I know I dont have nearly enough fluid I should be!

When I tried Icecream I dont think my body liked it at all!! I got such a tummy ache and didnt feel well... I think too I hadnt had anything like that in so long that when that was the first naughty thing I had it hit me hard... I have had a few bites of icecream since with no issue... -

I agree that its easy to make mistakes, I too struggle with the emotional eating.. I think the important thing here is that you pick yourself up and continue on... We are all humans and I know for me I make plenty of mistakes, but I have to take the good with the bad and keep moving forward the best I can... because this is lifestyle change.. its not easy, but like anything else... we gotta accept it brush it off and continue on... -

I dont have a problem telling when I feel full, almost like a knot... I make sure not to over do it, but like others have said certain foods will make me feel funny and I know I didnt over eat, that is probley not agreeing with me for one reason or another... -

MovinForward replied to happy2behere's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know how you feel, that was such a rought time for me! Your right with having to be around your family who needs to go on normally eating it is so rough... I was allowed a tiny bit of food, but wow it was such a tease and seemed to of made me even more hungary for food.... I would try and leave the room and try to keep busy doing other things and drink alot.. I also made alot of stuff I didnt care for haha -
Sorry your down, Im sure its not what you wanted to hear, but the good thing is it doesnt mean you cant have it.. Get the list of what you need to do to be approved for the surgery.. While your doing your 6 months, See if you need support group visits or physcologist, nutritionist and all other appts.. My Dr. Office was great and and as soon I was cleared from everyone , they sent it all to the insurance company and booked the date, and I didnt have to wait longfor a date which was nice.. It does go by fast.. Just have them tell you everything expected right off so you can work on all aspects while you wait.. Goodluck!

MovinForward replied to FuriosMommy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I have the same issues, it bothers me alot that my upper arms are so heavy.. I dont wear tank tops or anything revealing, and I must say I really hope I can one day feel comfortable and secure with the way I look to wear what I want also. -

Scared and Not telling anyone
MovinForward replied to Coookies's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The great thing about this and everyone has the choice to tell or not to tell! I did tell others, I didnt want as many people to know that do but oh well.. I ended up havin some right side belly pain and I couldnt bed over or sleep in bed and I did need help of others, Im very thankful for the help and support I recieved.. With two busy kids i needed it.. BUT on the other hand I would have preffered less people know. Goodluck with everything -
Some questions for you.....
MovinForward replied to callalillyland's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I think its great you are thinking of everything because its not a quick fix, I know for me It has helped my hunger so much in the sense I simply can't eat like I used to.. But my body tells me no more, even if my head wants more... I know I cant do it. Its nice to not be able to eat it and push myself into meaningless eating.. I Think everyones situations are different and I know for me as well knowing my belly was smaller helped, Before surgery it was so hard... but after it was so much easier because I had the help of the sleeve . Best of luck! -
Pounds to Drop a Clothing Size
MovinForward replied to Ms Lady in NC's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think a big thing also is how someone carries their weight too! I enjoyed everyones responses because I am this very same boat as well. When I started My jeans are a size 24 and Im still wearing them BUT I have one pair I havent worn in over a year because I couldnt come close to closing them and now I wear them and they are VERY baggy all except the button which fits normal not too tight and not loose! My regular jeans are so saggy and baggy in the legs, butt and underbelly yet the buttons are normal so that part of my stomach is being stubborn although I know Im loosing because its baggy and they are not snug at all... But I look horrible, I mean my pants sag yet the button part is normal If the button would go down I could go down a size, but untill then I guess I wait -
Im suppose to go out for a friends birthday and I have been wondering the same thing, what in the world do I drink, lots of helpful things in here
