  1. My Dr. too was concerned about possible scar tissue due to 2 previous surgeries. I had to sign a form to possibly open for the surgery but all went fine. Good luck you will do fine!

    After Surgery Questions

Hi! You will do great with the sleeve. In my Dr's notes men were allowed 70-80 g of Protein and women 60 and 30 to 60 carbs per day. I too think that 21 g of carbs is high but as long as you are counting them and don't go over it should work, but that would limit your carb drastically in your other foods. The gas was not bad for me but I was up and walking 2hrs after surgery. I did buy the gas-x strips but never used them. Good luck and keep us posted on how things are going!
  3. The more you loose before the further down the road you will be. Also my Dr. said it helped to reduce your liver size so it was easier to get to your stomach and reduce the risk of a nick to the liver during surgery.

    SO ANGRY

Mine was denied at first for the same reason and my surgeon talked to them directly and got it approved.
  11. I was fine traveling 3 weeks after my surgery. You need to really plan how you will handle your foods. Will you have a fridge and a microwave in your room? Also rest when you can, you will get tired a more quickly.
