Anyone have trouble with their periods after surgery? I am not getting it on time. Last month was a week late, this month I am going on 2 weeks late. Anyone have this problem?

Hey Kinsse we are really close in stats. I am a high wt of 320 lbs, sw 315, cw is 272 surgery on 8/8/13

HW- 318 SW - 315. Surgery date 8/8/13 CW - 279 It is coming off. Slowly but coming off :-)

Tell them no you already have plans all set at home for that date. My surgery was supposed to be on a Monday and they changed it on Friday to the Thursday. Then Tues of that week they called again to change it to the Monday after I told them I couldn't change my husband had taken the time out of work to be with me an I had already scheduled time out of work. They kept my Thursday date with no problems.

It was covered for mine. I was out for 3 weeks

I am going on 6 weeks post op and I have been at the same weight for 2 weeks. I am really starting to get depressed an frustrated. I am not hungry but I am still making myself eat 3 meals a day and I really am not eating a lot. I cant stand any of the protein shakes that I have tried, an I have tried a lot. I have even been keeping track of everything that I eat on My Fitness Pal (averaging 500-600 cals a day and 30-40 grams protein a day). I don't know what else to try to make the scale move :-(

Surgery was 8/8 and I am down 30lbs

Im 38 will be 39 in Sept. I had my surgery 8/8 :-)

Thank you for the responses. Spoke to the nurse at my doc and she said it is normal. It sounds like muscle pain. I just have to watch for fever, vomiting/diarrhea if I get any of those go to ER

I have been feeling pretty good so I did housework and stuff today, may have over done it a bit. I was standing near my sink tonight and I got a sharp pain on my left side. Could it just be that I did too much? I ate a small piece of fish for supper but I felt fine after so I do t think I overate or anything. Can someone tell me if this is normal?

Did anyone have a rough start with the band to bypass revision??? I had Mine done on 8/8 and I was doing great in the begininng now I cant drink/sip anything and Im throwing up and still in hospital. Would really like to hear your stories

Surgery was postponed to Thursday the 8th. Been looking forward to this surgery for a while but I have to admit I am getting nervous.

Hello everyone, My name is Christie and ive had my band for 2 1/2 years now. the first year and a half was going great for me, i lost 100 lbs. i started out at 335 and got down to 224. now im gaining weight (back up to 260 and climbing) and cannot get myself back to where i was. i was doing soo well, i started having troubles with fills, i would get too much, wait too long, then have it taken out and back and forth so forth and so on, and its been a downward spiral since. i learned to eat around my band(junk) and i cant stop.. then on top of all of it, ive lost my motivation, and confidence in this. i was soo happy with myself and now i am depressed again feeling like a failure. how do i pick my self up and start over, or have i lost my chance with this??? i still feel restriction at times but eat foods that just go threw the band instead of struggling. i know im taking the easy way out in eating the crap that i used to i just cant get myself back. could someone please help guide me back into the right direction again. has anyone else gone threw this too?? any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

does anyone know if mass health covers the surgery? has anyone that had the surgery on masshealth. were they hard to get them to cover. please any info would help ... thank you
