I have been sleeved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Julie76 replied to Julie76's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks Kelly, I will check those out. I wonder if it is possible to just eat enough meat to get all the protein you need? Wouldn't that be great! I guess you would be stuffed full all of the time though. -
I'm so excited!!!!!! Tomorrow is the day for my life to begin again!!! I have already lost 20 lbs as of this morning from the pre-op diet and liquid diet. It is amazing how much a difference 20 lbs makes. My clothes fit better. It's easier to walk and I even played BASKETBALL with the kids last night! Glad I can still shoot baskets like I did in high school. Anyway I go in at 8:30 in the morning and should but won't have surgery until after lunch because I'm 4th on the list for surgery that day. CAN"T WAIT TO BE A LOSER!!!lol Wish me luck and please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. THANKS EVERYONE!

Julie76 replied to mamamckinzie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good to hear you are doing so great!!! I started my two liquid diet today to get ready for Thursday! I'm so excited and pray I do as well as you! -
I know it. I went in for my pre-op EKG and blood work this morning. Start my liquid diet tomorrow. I'm sooo excited...but alittle nervous!
-
Tummy sleeper or not...nothing is going to keep me from having this surgery. May just sleep on the couch. Don't sleep on my tummy when I lay on it.
-
Oh my gosh.....I was reading all of this and just realized I am going to have a heck of a time....I sleep on my tummy. What am I going to do?

DID TIME JUST START MOVING 100 TIMES SLOWER?!?!?!
Julie76 replied to MimiMermaid's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Will absolutely keep in touch! I just have to say that this pre-op diet is kicking my behind. I work two jobs and need carbs to help with energy (because one of my jobs is being a bartender). Just trying to hang in there and drink as much Water as possible (thinking maybe it will help with washing my liver clean)LOL. I'm sure that's no the case but wishful thinking. I have 7days left and gonna try harder next week. I'm the manager of the bar I work at so I'm gonna to try and schedule my self for as few days as possible so I can rest in the evenings. Also I haven't received the Protein I ordered yet, so I'm sure that isn't helping either. Guess I'm gonna have to bit the bullet and go get some from the store. I'm super excited for all of us. I don't really care if people say we took the easy way out. Clearly they have no idea how hard it is to lose weight once it has gotten out of control. I say we are hero's for taking control of this situation and getting healthier for our kids and loved ones who are so concerned with us. I don't know why everyone (all overweight people) doesn't do it! Think about the money the world could save with medical expenses.... insurance cost could go down. food...the money you can save on food..... I have a million things I can think of that this surgery is going to help me out with and I so look forward to it. -
DID TIME JUST START MOVING 100 TIMES SLOWER?!?!?!
Julie76 replied to MimiMermaid's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
YES!!! Time seems to be moving at a snails pace for me as well. My date is August 4th and I have been on my diet since last Thursday. I have slipped a little here and there but I think overall I'm doing ok. I'm on the lower end of the BMI spectrum so I hope that helps with the liver thing. I'm sure next week will be very intense for me. Good luck to everyone. -
Y'all have very beautiful horses. I have really high hopes with my daughter. She is tearing up the youth rodeo's here in Texas. Maybe one day we'll be going to Vegas. lol

Started my 2 weeks pre-op diet. I have a weird feeling in my stomach..... Guess it's nerves cause it's getting so close to date of surgery.lol I can do this and I will make it through it! I'm not even a little hungry. Had no last minute, last meal binge or anything like that so I'm pretty proud of myself. I want my liver to be in tip top shape when they go in to fix my tummy. I have to say... I have surprised myself by not sabotaging the process. Then again we will see what the end of this two weeks brings.

Surgery date tomorrow
Julie76 replied to La Dolce Vita's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
GOOD LUCK!!! See you on the other side! -
I have been dating my bf for about 7 months now. He is a wonderful man. The greatest! He came into this relationship knowing I was going to, one day, have this surgery. He is ok with it but doesn't want me to lose my hips and ta ta's. I was up front with him and told him it is a very real possibility that they would disappear. I don't know if they will because even at 115lbs I had a DD, but you never know. Anyway..... It makes me wonder if he will be there when I'm 130-125. He assures me he will be no matter what because he loves me. That makes me feel ALOT better. I guess if you communicate your feeling and have an understanding and a strong foundation like LilMissDiva said... You will make it though anything.

Anybody Broke down for no reason?
Julie76 replied to Papa Jack's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
OMGosh! I did the same thing! I think that it has to do with fighting with it for so long and finally finding a tool to help you fix the problem. I don't think people that don't have the same issues could even begin to wrap their heads around the emotions with deal with beginning fat, big, heavy, overweight.....whatever they want to call it. You will be sleeved before me but I'm right behind you. -
Congratulations though! That is an amazing feat!!! I do hope you feel better soon.
-
I can't get over the fact that you have lost 86lbs in 10 weeks! That is so awesome. I have a little over 2 weeks until I get sleeved and all I can say is WOW! I hope it works for me that way.
-
I read all the time too! This is where I decided to go with the sleeve instead of the bad. Didn't really want something foreign in my body to deal with all of the time anyway. I think this is going to change our lives forever! How is the Pre-Op diet going for you? I start mine next Thursday and I think I have gained 5lbs since I found out my date because of that stupid thought that I won't ever be able to eat again. I'm working on it though.
-
Awesome! Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I will be on the edge of my seat waiting to hear! You'll do great I'm sure!

How long did it take you to make a decision?
Julie76 replied to Eyemallrt's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I knew I had to do something when my husband at the time was making fun of me getting on my horse. It was then that I knew I had to do something. I never had an issue with it before but I'm ready to change this and start feeling better in general and about myself. I realized I wasn't able to live the life I wanted to and that my teenage girls are worried about me letting it get this far out of control. Having support of your loved ones means everything but if they can't understand then they need to gain a 100lbs and carry it around for 5 yrs.LOL...... Ok...I'll stop venting. -
Congratulations!!! I'm changing my life August 4th! YAY! Go US!

I think in the long run you will lose enough weight the you won't have the "toe". I know how embarrassing it can be. Just hang in there and be patient.
