So, I went to my PCP for the first time since surgery today due to a UTI that I haven't been able to kick in the last week. He walked in and ask if I was with Julie. Like he didn't even recognize me. I know I have lost 54lbs but do I really look like a totally different person??? It's not like he didn't have my chart right in front of him reading the weight. Anyway, I told him it was me and he acted really surprised. It was a good thing but this coming from a man who for years let me try every diet in the world and seemed to condemn me when I failed. HOWEVER, when I went in an talked to him about the surgery he did everything he could to make it happen. I'm truly grateful to him for that. You could say he helped change my life. :heart::angel:

Thank you! He was really happy with/for me. He loved that my bp was normal and my heart rate was not racing out of my chest like it was all the times before. I would almost have panic attacks when I had to go to the doctor. I just knew what he was thinking about me. I'm sure I was over reacting but I didn't see it that way then. I know now he was just worried about me. Maybe after seeing me he will talk to other people about this wonderful surgery. I know if I would have known about it sooner I would have done this a long time ago.

So I just wanted to share some pics of my journey so far. I am so happy with the choice I made to have the sleeve. At my highest weight Three weeks out! Me today!! I know this has been the best thing I have ever done for me and my family!

I weighed this morning and OMG I couldn't believe what I saw! The scale moved again and I realized I have lost half the weight I want to lose!!!! All of this done in just 8 weeks and 1 day. Truly amazing! :dance:

Not so much from losing the weight. I have three kids and the stretched out skin from that is hanging around but only that little apron kinda of thing (flaps on either side of my tummy really). I will have that removed by tummy tuck as soon as I have all of the weight gone!

That is so wonderful for you! I'm ready to get in the gym and start getting this squishy feeling off of my body. Looking forward to lean muscle. So excited for you and all of us out there rocking or sleeves!!!

Congratulations!! This first week is the roughest but hang in there! I know you will love your sleeve!

I have such a great boyfriend! So for the first time since I have been sleeved my boyfriend said something about my weight all on his own (without me dragging it out of him..lol). We were at his family reunion this weekend... He was sitting on a bar stool type chair and I walked up beside him and he put his arm around my waist. He look at me like he was surprised. I asked him "What?", he said "I can't believe I can put one arm all the way around your waist." It made me feel really good. It also made me feel better about not being able to eat all that great food and desert that his family made. However, that wasn't the part that made me cry. We went to a trail ride dance after the reunion. He asked me to dance.....I just posted I wanted to start dancing again..... While we were dancing he told me how proud he was of me, and that he always thought I was a beautiful woman but now I have a new glow about me that everyone has commented to him about. He said he felt like he was the luckiest man in the world. My whole life I have wanted to hear that. I just started balling like a baby. It sure made me feel good. BTW.... I have a really good looking boyfriend and for the first time since we have been going out this weekend was the first time another woman didn't come up to him and ask him to dance. However, his friends asked me all night.

Yes, I will hold on to this forever! He is a wonderful person!
