Irene. You are the entire reason I went through with my surgery. You being so positive and honest about the entire process was what got me through the days after. You have helped me in some many ways you have no idea. I hope you know that there are some that may never comment on things being posted and are just kinda hanging in the shadows but they are soaking up everything. Thank you for being the person you are. You have made this world a better place. God bless you.

You are a true inspiration for me. I have been dreading the Christmas parties I have to attend this year even though I lost almost 70lbs I have been worried I won't be able to find any nice dresses to wear. I'm just gonna suck it up and go shopping!!

Ok... I know it may sound crazy but I have lost 1 pound a day for the last 10 days. Not that I'm complaining at all.... but I'm 3 1/2 months out and have been a slow loser this far and now all of the sudden BAM here we go. Just has me a little concerned I guess. What do y'all think?

So I broke up with my bf. I'm fine and it took a lot of stress away when I finally decided I had enough of the neanderthal mentality he was throwing at me. However.... This has opened the door to a lot of other bs. I was on a date with a new guy and and old friend (who is a guy) walked up to him and told him to his face that he was going to steal me away from him. First time on a date and that! Not good! Not good at all. I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. Then we went to a cook off the very next day his own step-father told him that he was a lucky man because if he wasn't married to his mom he would steal me away too. That was just insane and overwhelming. However the new guy really likes me and hasn't ran for the hills yet. Thank God he has a sweet soul and not the neanderthal mentality thing going on cause I could see the last bf hurting someone. After a lot of thought, consideration and talking with the new guy, I have realized that I am not the fat, cool chick that guys want to hang out with but would never date. Now I'm the good looking, cool, chick that everyone wants to date. Things have changed so much for me and I'm happy with the out come of the surgery but me as a person hasn't changed anything but my clothes sizes and eating habits. I know a lot of people on here are going to think I am certifiably crazy but I just don't understand what gives people the right. I love the new me and the fact that people are attracted to me but what do you say when people act like this? Should I just let everyone know before we ever start dating that this happens? Cause that would make me seem real full of myself and I don't want to be that person. So confused.

BTW Diva. I love it! I just wish I had a booty like yours!

I have lost another 3lbs over the weekend! Everyone is worried about me but I keep telling them this is/was the plan! :biggrin5:

New attention from the opposite sex...... Is driving me crazy! Ok, So I have told y'all I manage a bar part time..... I have been having to work a lot lately and Tuesday night I got three phone numbers put in my tip jars. Now, I think that this is suppose to be a good thing. Right? You see here is my issue..... I have a wonderful boyfriend..... but things haven't been great lately and all the attention I have been getting (or he thinks I have been getting) is changing him. He use to be confident and he had a great security about him. Now all I hear is how I can do so much better and he has gotten so insecure. I hate this. Have I done this to him? I thought I was doing something good for both of us. I have watched the most amazing man I have ever met turn into so many I have left in the past. My love and attraction to him hasn't changed one bit. I don't understand why this is happening. I want him to be proud that other men look at me and know that not one of them will ever have me because I'm with him. What do I do? Someone can only reassure someone so much until they get fed up and walk away. I don't want to do that. I'm so sad right now...... My future with him was looking so bright and now I see that wonderful light slowly dimming. Anyone else have this problem? what can I do to make this better?

I just wanted to update everyone who was concerned... I have broke it off with my bf. I'd like to say that I am sad about it but I have relief also.

I had my surgery on Aug. 4th 2011, and so far have lost 62lbs.

Girl I feel you! I have been the same way since the day of surgery. I really have to watch what I eat.
