First time throwing up

Did you lost that 83 lbs. since your surgery on Nov 22? I had mine on the 23rd of Nov and have only lost 40??? -
I am almost three months out of my surgery and had no problems for the first two months. Now I was 1 week late, then had spotting for about 5 days, and have now had bleeding for about 5 days or so. I hear it can happen with sudden weight loss, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they gyn might have said. I might also be pre-menopausal (I am 53). I do have an appt. with my Gyn on the 25th, but if I am still bleeding I do not know if I should go. Thanks.

Any suggestions for Pureed foods?? YUCK!!
justfran replied to sexytee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am about 10 weeks post op and I found that Greek Yogurt mixed with one or two sugar substitutes and spoonfuls of either sugar free grape or strawberry preserves is really very good if you like yogurt. I, too tried baby food, and hated it. I also bought some low salt and "healthier soups" with chicken and egg noodles and put those in the blender and they were good as well. Of course the old standby is a scrambled egg or mashed tuna or chicken salad or egg salad. I hated low fat mayo, so I just used regular mayo. So far I am down 35 pounds. Good luck! -
Not too Happy with my Weight Loss
justfran replied to karrieremmer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I, too feel like I am losing very slowly. It is now two months after my surgery and I have only lost about 32 pounds and the majority of it was in the first 4 weeks. Now that I am on regular food, I am still eating very little, and whatever I do eat I try to make sure it is just protein. I know that I am not drinking as much as I should, because I just get too full. I have started to excersise again, about 40 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week on a recumbent bike (I have a bad back), so I hope that starts to help. I do feel very discouraged that after major surgery I really thought it would come off faster. When I was on Atkins a number of years ago, I think the weight came off faster. Of course the drawback was that after I lost 100 pounds and then went off the diet, I since gained it all back. I started the surgery weighing 265 and now weigh about 233. I know I see a difference in my clothes and in my face, and of course people are praising me, but again, I still wish it were more. I guess I just need to have patience and eventually it will come off. Good luck to all. -
What was your weight lose @ 2 months out?

I do not remember my BMI, but I just went for my 6week post op and only lost 27 pounds. I am very discouraged, although the nurse did say, that does come to 4-5/week. Most of it, was all the first month. It has definitely gone slow. Though I have seen a very big change is clothes size (usually a 24 or maybe a 22) and just bought a 16W in jeans. That DID feel real good. (Sorry, I don't know how to put a tape ticker on.) Guss the good thing is that at least I know I won't gain. -
I am on regular food, except for things like raw vegetables and sald. I have really only been eating things like chicken, tuna fish, salmon and eggs. I have not eaten vegetables because I feel that if they have no protein, why bother? I do see the nursing staff on Monday, so maybe they will be able to help. Thanks for replying.

I had my surgery on Nov 26th and now, for last one-two weeks or so, I can sometimes have a very light color of diarreah, though in very small amounts. sometimes it can be 5 times a day, and other days it can be none at all. Any ideas?

Hi everyone. I was glad to find this site and wish you all good luck. I am 6 weeks into my sleeve procedure and have only lot 25 pounds, and nothing in the past two weeks. I am totally disappointed. I do not eat much (a little chicken and fish) and still suplement with a protein shake eery day. Why, ofh why, am I not losing more weight??? I hate that for the last two weeks - nothing! I have not started excercising yet, but plan to start again soon. I see my nurse on Monday, an I hope she has some promising mews for my as to why this is happening.
