Good for you, Karen! I am expecting to have to repeat Week One....it is still better than nothing, right?!
-
I have the bra issue as well....I finally found the perfect one. Enell Sports Bra - Oprah's Favorite Enell Sports Bra - Leading Enell Bra Store I ordered mine directly from enel.com, that was the only place I could find the bigger size. I did have to wait a bit for it, but it was totally worth it. Nothing moves!!!

sorry, i didn't read the post carefully enough....i will join you, i like the option of repeating weeks if necessary. so glad you thought of this!
-
I just focused on your exercise quote....that is just what I needed to hear!
-
thanks for the links! i do want to try....i was going to wait until i got under 200, but maybe that is silly. i will get there a lot faster running vs. walking, right? have you started yet?
-
Great, thanks! That gives me an idea of where to start .

I just ordered my bathing suit....can't wait to start swimming! I am loving this thread. Can you all tell me how often you swim now? How often did you when you were starting out? I am curious, I have read you shouldn't run every day, does the same apply for swimming? Thanks!

I know it seems insurmountable at this point...but, when I was considering all of this, I looked around at all the different threads/topics and read bandster's signatures. It is incredibly motivating to see all the successes on this board! You CAN do it:clap2:

Musicalmomma-Happy Birthday!!!! I am in for August...I was late starting in July, so I didn't make my goal. But, now that I have started, I think 600 minutes is a doable goal. I read somewhere that ab work should wait until 3 months out, but I plan to email my drs. office this week and see what they say. Has anyone asked about limitations on exercise? I am thinking about starting to run (yikes) at some point. My family does a Turkey Trot that I would love to join in (instead of watching the kids) for the first time ever!

90 more minutes between the last two days...it is amazing how it becomes a habit so quickly.
-
well, i got 30 more minutes yesterday....but, i am probably not going to make my goal. i know i can do it for august though...and probably more.
-
i can't figure out how to get all my protein in with three 1/2 cup servings a day either.
-
That is awesome! :clap2:

marga-i totally relate...my kids fighting sends me to the cookie box (used to anyway). Hang in there. i had been feeling some restrictions for the first three weeks after surgery. well, all that is gone now. i am starving. some is head hunger, i know...but some of it is real hunger. and my fill is still 6 weeks away. and then i still won't feel a lot of restriction, if any ( i have been reading your fill posts). i did email my docs office about the date of my fill. no response yet. ugh. okay, i vented...promise to be more positive next post!
-
I actually got 75 minutes done yesterday...finally!
-
I have been having sleeping issues since surgery...either I am waking up really early and can't get back to sleep or I am laying awake at night. I know I need sleep...could we be gaining energy from a better diet and lost weight? faith-hope the hairloss stops...sounds like you are doing everything right!

i honestly am not sure....my doctor does them regularly at 8 weeks, the date they have set is 10 weeks. now that i am back in town i am going to ask about it...that just seems like too long. i felt deprived when i found out he waited 8, this is just torture!!! :faint:
-
lo2us-that is amazing...can't wait for that feeling. i will be waiting a looooong time though, since my first fill isn't till September. I need to get exercising....I have been at my moms and it has been tricky. I go home later today, so my excuses are gone. The good news is that flying will take my appetite away for a few days!

i think i am finally starting to get an idea of what "full" is for me. I definitely don't get the "thanksgiving day" full. for me, at least right now, it is a small marble at the base of my throat. nothing hurts, just uncomfortable. i do miss the full filling a bit, but it is nice to walk away from the table and not feel sick because i ate too much.
-
quadmom-i felt like that the other day, i can't remember what i ate, but wow did i feel horrible. i don't know why, but i thought since it went down it would be okay. not so much. there is quite a learning curve isn't there?
-
lo2us-i am glad you got straightened out...i can't imagine that it hurt that bad, wow! that is good that you will feel restricition on the first try. i am hoping for that!
-
janine, i am in the "soft" foods stage as my doctors office calls it. just wondered what everyone else was told for this (or any stage after liquids). Have a great weekend in PA!
-
Marga and Janine, thanks for the explanation. I am amazed at how "programed" I am about eating...I have to stop and THINK before I put a single thing in my mouth. I have caught myself so many times...almost putting something I shouldn't have in my mouth without even thinking about it. Total mindless eating:hungry: I also need to slow down...when I eat too fast it hits HARD and it is too late. I am supposed to be eating 2 protein drinks, and four times a day, 1/4 each time-three weeks out. What kind of amounts did you drs. tell you?
-
Stefanie-good deal! they would have driven me crazy, but i would have been too chickend to pull them out. glad it worked out!
