    It's Official!

Congrat!! What a great way to start off the new year.
  2. Don't panic and don't give up. I gained at the beginning also. I am now 13 months post op and down 117 lbs. The important things are that you are getting in fluids and protein. Give it time it will melt off.

    non-scale victories

Your doing great. You will have stalls but don't give up. Even though your on a scale stall you are probably still losing inches. I wish I would have measured myself prior to surgery but I didn't measure for 2 months after.

    Clothes

Don't buy much at once. I have gone from 22-12 in six months. I would only buy from the goodwill store or get hand me downs from co-workers.
  9. I'm three months out and still carry gum every where. Doctor said it will go away once I start eating more food other than protein.

    6 Month Post-op Carb-free Diet?

I'm 3 months out and my doctor recommended the same diet. I had to start walking the day of surgery. I mostly eat protein can't fit anything else.
  11. I am 3 months out and I had problems at the beginning but not anymore.
  12. I use a very small spoon and fork.

When to go back to work?

I didn't have any drains. I went back to work 1 week after having my surgery done. Everyone at work that knew I had it was really supportive.
  14. I am 8 weeks today and can't tolorate solids yet.
  15. I did the protein shots 25g of protein. I bought mine from Wal-Mart. I would drink one first thing in the morning to get some protein in. I got tired of the shakes quick. I started adding a little water to them to water it down some to drink it.
  16. Personally I have a couple of ladies I work with that had problems with the lap band. I also have issues with my body rejecting foreign objects. The sleeve was right for me b/c I am not having anymore kids and I want a permanant change. Don't have to worry about paying for fills.
  17. I had my sleeve on November 22, I spent 2 days in hospital. No drain tubes. I had my precedure on a Monday and returned to work with no problems the following Monday. I think it all depends on the person. I also have to go up stairs at work and had very little problems. I started walking the day of surgery. The more you walk the better you will feel. I only used Tylenol liquid Adult rapid release for pain.
